@TwoStatesBride:  Whoa, that looks amazing!  Love the purple.  I am going to copy you and do the same (since I see how good it looks).  Just substitute the purple for Rose and we are in business.  I did the math and it’s about $100 extra for everything but I think it’s so worth it.  Do you agree?

I didn’t end up using them cause I did go the Wedding Paper Divas route, but I ordere samples from Cards & Pocket and really did love them.

Had I selected different invitations that actually fit the C&P pockets, I definitely would have gone with them.

@TwoStatesBride:  K, thanks for all your tips.  My only hang-up with WPD was the no pocket folds.  Now I’ll “sleep easier” that my guests will receive an elegant invitation.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

I ordered everything through C&P.   I designed my invites myself and had them print them on their awesome crystal shimmer paper, and I ordered my pocketfolds, belly bands, and monograms and I assembled everything here.   I only bough the silver paper that’s behind the monogram at Michaels, everything else came from C&P)

@Purple_Bride:  Love your invitations!

What color are your pocketfolds? I love that purple shimmer color!

I love the pocketfold sample I got from C&P, but the WPD invitations I love (the only ones I’ve ever liked) cost a ton and are just a pinch too big for the pocketfold. ๐Ÿ™ They’ll cut the invites for me, but they charge $60 to do so, and it’s already expensive. Trying to find another good invite to go with the C&P stuff, or else I’ll design my own.

We got our invitation materials through Cards and Pockets and loved them. We also looked at Paper and More, but Cards and Pockets’ samples were such better quality and in most cases, a few cents cheaper per piece.

@TwoStatesBride:  I ordered samples and did a mock-up of my invites using the sample WPD invites.  Thanks for your help, suggestions and pictures ๐Ÿ™‚

Purple_Bride:  Hi, how did you design your invite, is there a website recommendation?

CBCHI:

I just used photoshop!

I don’t remember where I got the swirl line design from, I googled it, and took what I wanted and edited it.   I changed the colour, faded it in some areas that were covered in text, and did many many test prints lol.    All the text is basic fonts that were available in photoshop.

I have Photoshop CS2, by the way, so nothing super fancy.

I got my envelopes from cards & pockets, they were a beautiful shimmer metallic grey, the only issue I encountered was how to address them but i got that all fgured out and we’ve received tons of compliments on how nice our invites look ๐Ÿ™‚

Purple_Bride:  No way, they look great!  Thank you so much for the tip, I would’ve been a sucker and paid some site for a template.
