so would I – I tried looking online at bulk succulents but they can be pricey.  Is it possible to grow your own or just go to a greenhouse and buy a flat of them to arrange yourself?

I was thinking about it, but I was vetoed. I went to a nursery and talked to them about the different options. If I had done it, I would have chosen the plants and containers, then they would have potted and delivered them for me. I don’t recall the cost. I would not have grown or arranged them myself, I don’t have the room or patience. By The Way, I ended up using potted orchids.

I will be using succulents in my wedding decor and I think they add such a unique feel 🙂 really looking forward to it!

I love the way they look, but my florist said that they are way more expensive than flowers.  Each piece cost her $7, and they were small.

I was able to get 6-inch pots of 1 orchid each for $25 (including delivery), and I spent $8 on each ceramic pot. I had white phalaenopsis orchids. I don’t have any good pictures of them in the pots, but several people took close-up photos of the flowers:

I used them as an accent in my bouquet and on my cake, but not in my centerpieces.

I am hoping to have a succulent bouquet and my Fiance will have a succulent for a bout.

I am currently planning an entire wedding for a bride who is using all succulents and greenery. I wish I had taken a pic of a small example the florist put together for us. It was beautiful.

The pic on the right is from her inspiration board

You can probably buy the orchids from Trader Joe’s.  They always sell them and their flowers are pretty inexpensive.
