I’m not touching theknot.com with a 10 foot pole for any reason. I’ll pick up the magazine in store, but the web site and the people associated with it can go kick rocks. Rudest bunch of stuck up brats I’ve ever come across.

I’ll be using their RSVP feature, but don’t have any experience with it yet. I do like how it allows you to include entree choices with it. So far, I haven’t had any problems with my knot website and get lots of compliments on it.

I’ll be using it for my wedding also, but it’s not until May.  I hate the idea of having to pay for RSVP cards to be printed, put postage on all of them, waste all that paper.  But then, I’m a pretty tech savvy person.  I design software for a living, and I much prefer being able to go online to do something than to have to physically mail something in.  And we have only about 3 guests where we’ll need to have them call us instead of go online.

So far the knot seems fine, and I too like that I can put the dinner entrees right into the RSVP.  The only thing I haven’t been thrilled with was their email save the date inteface.  It was really difficult to use, not flexible enough for how I wanted it written, and then emails kept getting blocked by spam filters.  But hopefully the RSVPs will be ok.

I used it for my March 2011 wedding and it was perfect. We did online RSVPs and paper RSVPs for those who were old school. Most people RSVPd online and I filled in the answers for the ones who sent paper invites so I could accurately use the seating chart, meal tracking and gift tracking tools. I thought their tools and services were great.

@mtnhoney: I have honestly never had a good experience with them. The brides on the forums basically ripped apart my wedding web site, called me a gold digger and a slut (for being worried about how to make ends meet when Fiance and I both got laid off, and having a large chest, respectively), and spent much of their time trolling the forums, looking for victims to pounce on. It seems that unless you are super traditional, conservative, and modest, you are open for attack.

@mtnhoney: We’re not using The Knot RSVP manager as I just couldn’t see anyone but our friends (who are less than 1/3 of the total guests) understanding what to do with it.

However, I also didn’t want to pay for RSVP cards (or make them). So our invitations just said “RSVP by [DATE] to [EMAIL] or [PHONE].

It’s still over a week to the RSVP deadline and we’ve had about 3/4 of our invitees respond, which seems to be a pretty good rate from my understanding.

Just a thought for you, good luck!
