Now that we have our colors figured out, I’ve started to look at invitations. I can’t imagine any of our guests looking at them for more than 30 seconds so I can’t stomach spending $500+ for invites I’m not into DIY but I may be able to handle printing them onto a template. I found some on Walmart.com that look okay.
Since they are from Walmart and only $19 for 25, I’m assuming the quality isn’t very good and these particular ones aren’t in stores.
I have seen a ton of people post about their Michael’s inviations but has anyone used Walmart invites? These are the ones I’m looking at.

I used Martha Stewart invitations from walmart. They were actually very nice quality, I just used the left over thank you cards for our holiday cards. They were nothing fancy, but they did there job:) Our paper products weren’t high on our list.

I am using walmart/wilton invites. I think they are really good quality. I am swapping out the envelopes though b/c they are a little too flimsy. Honestly with the exception of the envelope I think they’re great and I don’t think they look much different than the ones my friend used for her wedding and she paid close to $500.00 for her professional ones.

I think there’s a big quality difference. I wouldn’t use them for a wedding. They feel light and flimsy. I used them for my sisters baby shower, and then realized I could have gotten something nicer from vistaprint for just a little more by paying for the heavier paper.

I had a client that got married this past summer, and she used Walmart/Wilton invites. They were brown pocket-style ones. Can be found here: http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=0EFCF025-423B-522D-FABF5DA910A81814
She paid me to print them, and Wilton’s site was super easy to use (all the ones they sell at WalMart come with a web address you can got to for the template, so you don’t have to set up margins, etc on your own)
She got more rave reviews over these invites than any client I’ve ever had…people adored them and kept asking her where she had them designed at! The paper was great quality, nice and heavy, and they were super cheap too. I highly recommend using them if you want to save money.
