@elisminkstole:

There have been a few brides on here from Millys. I really think they are on top of the replica chain but a tad bit more expensive since they make one dress first for confirmation and then your final dress.

jasminesbridal

coralsbridal

dressilyme

landysbridal

All seem to have excellent beadwork and are a fraction of the price. If you have particular questions about beading or a preference such as “no sequin” then I suggest you speak with each representative and make sure they understand your feeling.

You could order from Church Street Bridal. Jeannine @ Small Chic posted about this YMCA non-profit bridal shop. They have a lot of designers like Reem Acra, Romona Keveza, Pnina Tornai, etc because their dresses come from Kleinfelds. They post a new dress on their new blog every day http://churchstreetbridal.blogspot.com/ and if you have a favorite designer, you can e-mail them and ask what dresses they have from the designer. You can see the pictures that Jeannine took on this post http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/found-a-designer-gold-mine-today-lots-of-pics-inside/ The dresses retail at several thousand dollars, but since they’re non-profit, and Kleinfelds donates their leftover inventory (past collection they were unable to sell) and sample gowns, you can buy a designer gown for a couple hundred dollars (example Reem Acra Rosea: $6,400 but their price: $450). You may have to spend a little more on alterations, but you’d certainly get it faster to you than a dress from China.

I went the China dress route also.  I couldn’t justify spending $1000 on something I will never wear again.  I ordered my dress from April Bridal/Jeff Liu.  My experience was great.  I sent pictures and he gave me a price of $235.  I was worried about what I would end up with in the end; but after 4 weeks he emailed me pictures of the completed dress.  The pictures were great and less than a week later I recieved the dress.  Although wrinkled; it fits perfectly.  No alterations needed at all.  It is way better than I expected.

Your dress is absolutely beautiful! I would also like to see a photo of it on you if you’ve got one.

Also, has anyone ordered from littlecoral?

Here is a really bad picture of me in the dress; I had just gotten it and it’s still wrinkled.  Plus you’ll have to excuse the bra straps as well. That looks awful!

Plus I can’t figure out how to rotate the pictures.  SorryCry

@quiltqueen:

I can’t believe your dress was only $235, it looks amazing on you! Thanks so much for posting! It’s reassuring to see the dresses others have gotten from China and to know I don’t have to spend $$$$ for a beautiful dress as well.
