It’s my sister’s all time favorite movie (and I love it too.) Considering the instrumental version of the love theme for my trip down the aisle. Has anyone ever done this and did you start from the beginning or in the middle of the song?

We used it as our last song in the prelude, right before the processional, and had our mothers seated during it. Then right after it, started the processional music we had chosen.
We started the song at the beginning, although I think I would have preferred to start further in where the tune is more familiar to others. FI’s sisters are musicians, though, and they were playing it, so had to let them do what they wanted. It did leave a fair sized gap after the mothers were seated in order for the song to finish before we started to do the processional.
In the ceremony programs I noted about the song and mothers’ seating and added how seeing the movie was FI’s and my third date and for a laugh also put in the quote from the movie “Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday.”

@Jennlee: awesome! I so think I want to do the Mawage bit, to see if anyone else would get it.
Thanks for the feedback, you addressed my concern about length. I’m not having a wedding party so it’ll just be me and my dad so I might want to do something a bit faster and shorter…

When looking for vendors for the ceremony music, I started doing a little more research on unique and popular songs, and this is definitely one that popped up! We are thinking of using it as well 🙂
I love this youtube video of it on classical guitar – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4njxT5idas

@FutureDrScott: OMG! You may have just solved my issue with it being too long! Amazing (I’m kind of down to the wire on having to make a decision.)
