Personally, no. But I’m sure you’re not the only one.

@alotlikelove:  It’s funny you ask this because I was just having a similar conversation with my mom today (she’s visiting from out of town to help me pick a wedding gown).

I wouldn’t personally want to be a wedding planner, but after going to several bridal salons, I was telling my mom how fun it would be to own a shop like that.  A couple of the nicer boutiques we visited are owned and operated by women in their late 20’s/early 30’s (around my age), and they really seemed passionate about what they do.  I love fashion, so it would be amazing to be around gorgeous designer gowns every day.  The only downside would be the fact that it’s a sales job, and that’s not really my thing.

I’m totally not a wedding person at all, but I still think that would be fun.

@alotlikelove:  I was just talking about this with FH!! He thinks I’d be great at it, while I know I’d have a lot of fun. 🙂 Still, I don’t think I could do it professionally. Good luck if you choose to go for it!!

It would be a pretty fun job! I’m a planner for everything in life so I’ve really enjoyed wedding planning too. If I thought I could actually even come close to making what I do now I might look into it.

Yes! Or a party planner in general. I get all these awesome ideas that don’t fit my theme and/or budget. I would just love to plan all these fancy parties, haha

When I read the title I thought this question would be somewhere along the lines of “Has wedding planning made you want…to say screw it and elope?” Because that is more the lines of my feelings haha! By all means, please plan my wedding for me! I thought it would be fun but its just stressful and I can wait to just be married and I couldn’t imagine having to do this ever again lol! I’m sure it’s just me; I hate organizing and planning. More power to you if you’ve got a knack for it.

@alotlikelove:  Yes! It’s so much fun. I could literally spend all day on wedding stuff and it would be nice to do it and get paid!

I actually started an Etsy shop because wedding planning has made me realize that a lot of the creative stuff I can do and my trips to China are great ways to offer brides value on stationery/creative and DIY supplies. Who knows, maybe I’ll make a few dollars that way. I’d love to be a stay at home mom for a couple of years after I have kids, so it would be nice to establish a small Etsy business to help out.

I wouldn’t want to be a wedding planner, but I would love to be wedding DIY-er!  My favourite part of the wedding planning so far has been doing some crafty DIY projects. I would absolutely love to do stuff like that on the side.

No, but it’s made me seriously consider opening up a wedding shop [NOT dresses, but like decor items & centerpieces and things!] and party rental place! I’ve had alot of fun shopping for the best deals and I’ve found that I can PURCHASE everything cheaper than I can rent it [in my area].

No. I have really enjoyed planning my own, but I would probably throttle brides who couldn’t make a decision.

Ha my friend and I would love to be wedding planners!

My mom is really heading in this direction though… she’s gathering resources and making business connections. I think she would be really good at it, her current job is planning projects out and staying on top of things and keeping in touch with project leaders to assess where they are with it.

I hope she gets to do it because she’s been having such a blast with mine!

It did in the begining. But now, I really dont want to because I dont want to put up with people like me every day. Ack.

It has made me want to be a wedding florist though…
