Did you get buried alive in all this snow? I live in the midwest and we have had no mercy today! Holy @#[email protected]#$ there is so much snow outside I could cry. First of all I worked all day and I saw the snow falling and falling the whole time. When I got off work I had to unbury my car again and try to drive without being run over by every person who has a four wheel drive. Then, I got home to find out that of the four people who live in the house (two of which were working today) no one shoveled. AT ALL. I couldn’t even get my car in the driveway. So, we spent the last half an hour unburying the drive way and sidewalks. (I mean, there is so much snow I couldn’t even walk in without having to practically unsuction my foot from the snow!!
I guess I’m really nervous because I start school tomorrow for the first time in about 1.5 years. It’s stressful because I will be taking three classes (all english classes) working 30-35 hours a week at my job, planning a wedding, and praying that my Fiance can find a job soon. I just have so much on my plate. Tomorrow morning I have to be up super early for my classes (first one at 7:30 AM) and I’m scared it’s going to have snowed all night and I will, once again, have to unbury myself to get there. On another note, maybe they will cancel classes if this keeps up. I’m not even sure how the plows are keeping up because the roads are still awful and they have probably been working double time.

Oh goodness! If there is really that much snow, will they close the campus so you don’t have to worry about going to school tomorrow?

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: I wish I knew an accurate count of how much snow has fallen. They said there was supposed to be 3-5 inches of snow today but for some reason it seemed like a lot more. I’m not sure if they would close classes tomorrow or not. I guess I will just have to keep my eye out online.

I live in Upstate, NY. We get snow emergencies constantly during the winter. We’re supposed to get hit with the mother of all storms tomorrow so I’m sure one will be declared. I’m so sick of winter!!

I am NOT looking forward to tomorrow’s wintry mix with wind. I have somewhere to be and need to look nice and professional. It’s making me nervous and upset. J keeps telling me to stop worrying, but I really need to look my best. I hate winter for these reasons. I am glad it’s not going to more snow though because we have had enough this winter already. Is it spring yet?!
Good luck with your classes. I’m sure you’ll do great. 😀

@DesireeAnne:thank you. And that’s how I feel about tomorrow, it’s making me nervous and upset too because of the unknown and the fact that I can’t control it.

@SweetRose2011: No problem! Aw, don’t be nervous! I know it’s hard, but everything will work out.

Snow emergencies barely even make the news up here anymore. All it really means here is that you can’t park on the street. It’s when they let all “non-essential” employees stay home that it’s a big storm.

No but it’s freezing out and going to go in the negative temperatures this weekend. Looks like it will be hot coco and movies on the couch for us. We still got pretty much snow this winter so far.

It was 75 at the beach today in Santa Monica…muahahaha!

I live in Minnesota, and this is one of our snowiest winters ever. Right now we have permanent winter parking restrictions until the snow melts, because the streets were so narrow cars couldn’t pass down them if there were cars on both sides.

we’re having a heat wave here. I was in a sundress and flip flops today and actually broke a sweat just walking down the street.
