I wonder who hates it… Lol.

Personally I quite like it, and I’m hoping to get a centre-stone upgrade from an Asha to a moissy later on down the line when I can!

I don’t have one but I have seen people on here mention they weren’t happy with theirs and ended up getting an Asha. I hope they come forward because I don’t remember all the details.

I don’t have one, but good for brides who love em! I’ve heard lots of good things, but it just wasn’t for me.

I don’t know if you are going to find anyone that says they hate/dislike their ring. I imagine most Moissy owners knew what they wanted when they got a moissy.

I’m a jewelry lover, and just looking at some of the beautiful moissy pieces on this board has made me want to get one for myself. Much more affordable than shelling out tens of thousands for my huge, dream heart-cut diamond!

I think Moissy is gorgeous and would love some Moissy jewelry. I have an Asha and couldn’t be happier/wouldn’t replace it with a Moissy though. I compared them for EVER, and ultimately made my personal choice for an Asha.

I am curious as to why people are voting they hate Moissy if they chose one? (Or maybe they are voting even though they don’t have a Moissy, so that’s skewing it?)

@AmeliaBedelia: I’m thinking of picking out an Asha ‘forever ring’! Why did you choose your Asha over moissy, and does it cloud up at all? The CZ on my promise ring is starting to cloud up a bit, no matter how many times I clean it 🙁

I’m all for whatever makes you happy and it seems from this board that most mossanite owners are very happy – congrats to all of you! I think any symbol of an engagement is beautiful. I didn’t know what mossanites or ashas were until I read this board. I think more jewelers should be more forthright about different options. However, one thing that I’m curious about is that the sole manufacturer of mossanites right now, Charles and Colvard losses their exclusivity patent protection for jewelry in the US in 2015 – will that cause many more manufacturers to enter the market and drive prices down? I work in an industry where once a competitor losses patent protection it’s game over for the remaining branded competitors so I’m curious from a business model standpoint. Does anyone know what will happen in 2015?

I had an older stock, unenhanced 6.5mm moissy, that was bezel set, and I was unhappy with it. It looked gray and yellow in lots of lighting. And when it shone, I almost felt like it looked like a round mass of light instead of individual, faceted sparkles. So I was unhappy with that particular stone.

However it hasn’t turned me off moissanite in general. I love moissanite melee, and I have a moissanite pendant as well. When the Amora gem is available I will purchase one of those too.

Moissanite is a fairly new stone and I’m sure they’ll be making continuous improvements for a while.

I’ve never seen it in real life, so I have a hard time loving or hating it….but I’m sure if I saw it, I would probably really like it!

I never knew about them until I joined the bee so I dont know too much about them.  However, the price does bother me,  I understand it being a perfect diamond alternative for some, but I still think its quite high in price for a lab created stone.

@MASPA: That’s kind of how I felt… I was going to get one for my ‘stand in’/ vacation ring but the price is still high so I went with a CZ and it’s a beautiful stand in when I want to keep my rings at home.
