Hate my wedding dress

I feel the same way about my dress and you look much better than I do.  Your stomach is flat, you look fit and thin.  I would just get some thin spanx and it will make you feel more confident.  I love a spray tan and feel it makes me look better in white, but I will have an experienced sprayer do it, and a trial run for sure.  I do not like a lot of tanner on my face, so I really just need my body lightly done.  St. Tropez has a great mouse you could try if you just want a little color.  But practice for sure.

I just wanted to add in this thread that I feel like insta and pinterest gives us warped vibes of what we are supposed to look like on our wedding day! The wedding industry is not excluded from photoshopping their brides so don’t compare yourself to a standard that isn’t even real.

You look beautiful in that dress 💓

That dress is beautiful on you and your skin tone is just right for the dress color. Honestly, a pretty pearl necklace to show off your neck/shoulders would be icing on the cake.

Wow! Ok, so I was expecting to see the Michelin Man in a wedding dress, but you look fantastic!  I think a sparkly belt and accessories will really help finish the look off.

docinlove484 :  You look beautiful! I agree with PPs that once you get your accessories on you may like it better. I think a belt may help as well. There are so many gorgeous blingy belts on Etsy!

Another idea is to get one of those detachable tulle overskirts like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/706162477/white-detachable-overskirt-softest-tulle?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=tulle+overskirt&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&frs=1

There are lots on Etsy. I think that both the belt and the overskirt would look great with your dress! you have options 🙂

Maybe the overskirt would help with any shape/body insecurities. I think you look beautiful, but you have to feel good in your dress.

What about adding different sleeves? Of course i don’t know what your preference is but for example https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/746842428/bridal-straps-pearl-straps-wedding-dress?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=capped+beaded+wedding+strapps&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1

Adding some intricate beading and that belt you mentioned will give it a bit more glam and visual interest. But once you pair it with a veil, etc it will come together.

You look good! No need to be selfconcious. Plus wedding dresses have some decent seam allowance, so is it possible ot let out the dress a little and give yourself wiggle room?

Wow – I was expecting something SO much worse – I think this dress looks beautiful on you.  I know like other bees said we are our own worst critics but i do not think you look big in this dress at all.  The top of the dress is kind of plain, what if you added some really pretty jewelry that would take away from the middle of the dress since that is the part you seem to be most uncomfortable with?

docinlove484 :  Um. You look AMAZING and I would kill for your body. I’m sorry you don’t feel comfortable and aren’t happy with how it looks, but I think it looks incredible on you.
