Yes!! I absolutely hate it on the website it doesn’t do anything for me and when I show people the picture I put in a caption (trust me it looks better in person!) which it does. I almost had dress regret because I kept looking at it online, but when I go and put on MY dress I love it again 🙂

I do! Fortunately I found my gown before I saw the picture of it on the website. It was the last gown I tried on, and I knew all along that it was going to be “the one” When the sales woman showed me the picture from the website, I was totally shocked because it looked like a completely different gown. It doesn’t look ugly, but the picture just doesn’t do the gown justice. The website shows the front of the gown and a side view, which doesn’t even show you the train.

I do! I try to avoid showing my friends and family the picture of the model in my dress b/c you can’t see any of the details and it just looks like a plain, ivory dress. I also always give the disclaimer that the dress looks nothing like it does in the picture when I have it on. I don’t like trying to justify the dress from the model photo b/c it’s so gorgeous in person!

Oh my dress looks like its being worn by a pretty alien. I am constantly getting comments like “anyone with hips could NEVER wear that dress” …which is NOT true because I am very hourglass. I don’t have a pic of me in the dress, but here’s the model for your creepy enjoyment.  Its also not nearly so tight at the knees…and the model needs a bigger butt.

@kermie: Models always lack butts! Look at the model of mine. Seriously. Nothing.

I found my dress online after I tried it on and fell in love with it.  I thought it couldn’t possibly be the same dress.  The pics online are just meh.  Goes to show you have to try things on and be open to other styles, etc.

I bought my dress from a fellow Bee who had bought it at Running of the Brides. The model pics looked VERY different from the pics she sent me of herself in the gown (seeing her in the gown is why I chose it…it was on a “real” woman) and then when I got it and tried it on, it looked very different still! I am having a few alterations (corset added to the back, train shortened and dress hemmed) but I LOVE it already! Can’t wait to see the finished product and yeah, I think it looks WAYYYY better on a “real” woman! 🙂

I wouldn’t say that I hated my dress when I first saw a pic of it on the DB site, but I really didn’t like it. I did look at the pic a few more times and started to like it, however. Then when I tried it on at DB, I knew it was the one for me! I definitely think it looks much better in real life than in the pictures though.
