Love your dress! I’m a sucker for dramatic mermaids! Clearly on the first picture the dress is too big,  But on the second set it fits really well.  Now it really depends on how you feel in it,  because visually there will be no difference on how you look,  but only how you feel. Count on the fact that the dress will stretch lightly as the evening progresses you might want to take it  in, But also you need to make sure you sit comfortably,  can eat and breathe.  As for poofy bottom,  your dress was designed for dramatic ginormous skirt.  Embrace it and enjoy.  How many times in your life would you wear something this spectacular? you don’t look short in it at all!

Ps. You can always remove a layer of tulle from under the skirt to de-poof it

Dress Twins!

I personally think it looks great!! But just like tagerosan said, what matters is that you feel good in the dress.

I’m also adding the sleeves after trying on the bolero and not liking it. I have attached mine below – I dont think my bottom has less tulle than yours (I didnt ask for any to be removed) but if yours feels too poofy, I saw another girl with the same dress remove a layer and it still looked great. Let me know if you want that pic and I can find it for you 🙂

I don’t see how it can be tighter?  Your seamstress is correct that if it’s too tight underneath the booty you won’t even be able to sit down.  I don’t know why consultants clip them like that when it’s not possible… oh wait, yes I do, to SELL you the dress!

But I think it looks nice and fitted.  I do see that the poof has come up higher, and the same thing happened to me.  My mermaid flared out higher as well, especially since I’m 5’4” and ordered a shorter dress.  I was annoyed they didn’t mention that to me…
