Bees idk what to do! Had my final fitting tonight and didn’t like my dress at all! My mom paid for it and I couldn’t tell her how I really felt because I didn’t want to break her heart. They had a deal where if you purchased same day you tried it on they discounted it, my mom and sister loved it and so did I plus I wanted to save my mom money so I said yes the same day, without thinking or looking at pictures… but going in for the final fitting tonight I just felt blah and was dying to try other styles on.

You loved it at one point, there must have been a good reason! Pics?

What will break your moms heart is if you wear a dress you hate on your wedding day.
Trust me, I had same issue and I was so scared to say to her and when I did she was like find another dress! I said are you sure? and she was like are you serious it’s your wedding day I wouldn’t want you to feel any less beautiful than you should on account of me. The conversation was a bit more loving than I’ve wrote but in simple terms she wasn’t the least concerned about the fact she bought it she was only concerend that I would b happy.
What is it you don’t like now?

This was before my last fitting obviously. I really liked the top and the detail but now I’m worried the bottom is boring and too clingy. The court house ending up pushing our wedding back so I’ll be almost 18 weeks pregnant by our wedding day and we are announcing after the ceremony. I guess my main worry is that I will Majorly pop before then causing the dress to look less appealing at my mid section. If I would have known our date would get pushed back I would have went with a much different dress

sundance : Your waist looks so good and this dress, enough though this isn’t the final fitting, gives your body such a lovely shape and makes you shoulders look really delicate. I don’t think the bottom looks to clingy. It looks stunning on you 🙂

jemmlove12 : I feel like my mom would be the same way! But then again I’m just so worried and feel terrible.. Maybe I’ll suck it up since we are just going to the court house and I won’t be in it all night.. Then next fall after the baby and I lose some weight I can get a reception dress that I feel like a million bucks in!?

Oh the dress looks beautiful and you look divine in it. It’s not your standard strapless number. It has a bit of flair and wow factor with the more unique cut to the skirt. I can see though that it may not compliment a pregnant belly. I think that is the best way to explain to your mom the need for a new dress. It’s a shame though as I think you look gorgeous in that one…but how YOU feel is what matters here, not my view

I think it looks nice enough to wear for one day.

Like you, I too had a majority satin dress, and I too hated every pic of me of me trying it on. None of it looked nearly as good as what I had pictured. I even had three different fittings where nothing was actually done to the dress, I just didn’t like how it looked and thought somehow they could “fix” how I felt about it.
The day before my wedding I was convinced I made a terrible desicion and would hate my wedding dress pictures for life.
On my actual wedding day, once I got the dress steamed, after all hair and make up was done, guess what? I felt so damn beautiful!! I thought I looked like a movie star! And the professional pics turned out so much better than all the pics I took.
Satin is a tricky thing. You look a hundred times more beutiful than you think you do.
