Hello there bees, I need some help! I loved my dress when I got it, I thought it really flattered me but I never had that crying moment in my dress. I lost 25 lbs from the time I bought the dress to my first fitting a few weeks ago and I really really did not like the dress, I feel like I may have even hated it. It looks okay from the front but from the sides it just looks horrible. I need to have about 2 inches taken in on each side and I am really hoping I like it on Monday when I try it on again. Any one else have this problem, how do I love it again?

You will love it once it fits properly! Congrats on the weight loss!

I loved my dress but I needed the sides let out 1/2″ total (it zipped but was just a bit tighter than was comfortable)…when I came back in for my second fitting my seamstress had let it out an inch on both sides. It looked awful, gapped away from my body and instead of making me look good like it had before, it made me look fat. She repinned everything and took it back in almost all the way and at the next fitting it looked just as awesome as I remembered it. I loved it so much the day of and felt like a million bucks. So what I’m trying to say is: there’s a HUGE difference between how a dress looks when it fits you right and when it doesn’t. I would try not to stress out too much and let your seamstress work some magic on the dress and see how you like it when it fits. I’ll bet you will love it again and look great in it once it fits! Congrats on the weight loss – what an accomplishment!

@LucyLove321: It will feel a lot different when it fits right. My dress had to be taken in a ton (literally 5 inches) and I almost cried at my first fitting because it was so horrible. I had another fitting the other day and love it again because it actually fits. Hang in there!
