The last two weddings I went to had corn hole (bean bag toss game) set up throughout the wedding. One of the weddings was entirely outdoors, so different people were playing all night. The other wedding had the cocktail hour outside and the reception inside, so the games were only really played during cocktail hour. Maybe you could set up bocce ball too. It doesn’t require putting anything in the ground.

It seems like a great idea to me and I’m probably going to have them set up for at least our outdoor cocktail hour.

I have been to a wedding with lawn games and we also had lawn games at our wedding. Both went over well.

I was at an outdoor wedding this summer and they had badminton and horse nuts… I have no idea what horse nuts is really called because that name seems ridiculous and it’s just something my friends say. You throw two balls attached by a string and try to wrap them around a bar.

We did – but we had horseshoes, so there were holes in the ground for the sticks. It was a great idea for our outdoor wedding! 🙂

@lindseyl06:  We did croquet, a bean bag toss, and botchi ball.
