Doesn’t work for me at all.  I use a prescription called Hyomax and it is the only medicine that consistently works for mE. IBS can be so awful, I hope you find something that works with your body.

@sweetchiquita12:  not certain i have ibs. different doctors have said a billion different things. I do have intestinal inflamation sometimes though. i take pro-biotics and i dont know that they help but along with diet changes they seem to help gas and regularity some.

@sweetchiquita12:  Yogurt/pro-biotics don’t have the same effect on people with IBS as they do on “normal people.”  Our digestive systems are just not normal.  In some people, pro-biotics can even trigger IBS attacks.

Edit: Wait, apparently some people with IBS have found benefits from probiotics.  You have to take them everyday though.

I have pretty minor IBS, and don’t really do much for it.  I’ve used probiotics to help if I’m consuming more lactose than I should, if I’m taking antibiotics, or if I’ve had diarrhea for a few days.  I came across something recently that shows you need at least 6 strains (I think that was after taking antibiotics).

I do find they help.

I had tried Digestive Advantage probiotics and it made my IBS way worse! I don’t think i woud try another.  Everyone is different, though ~ it might be worth trying to see if it works for you. GL!
