I’ve gotten a lash lift done professionally, where they tint your eyelashes black and perm them. It was $80 and lasted 3 months. I don’t know if I’d ever do it myself though, I’d be scared of getting dye in my eyes!

Not my own. But I remember in high school my boyfriend’s mom wanted to do hers but of course we couldn’t just go all willy nilly on her eyes, so we signed up my bf, who had beautiful long lashes, to be our guinea pig first. We didn’t have any issues. But we did his right around prom time and whenever my mom showed anyone our prom pictures everyone would ask “is he wearing…mascara?” It was kind of funny.

I get mine tinted every 6 weeks or so.. I have blond hair and light eyelashes so I dye them black so I don’t have to wear mascara every day. It’s about $30 at a spa. I highly recommend it!

I get mine tinted every 3 weeks or every 2… Depending how many social events I have. It’s dirt cheap here: $8.

It’s a little uncomfortable and if you wash your face a lot you have to get them tinted more often. The tint also comes off EASILY if you use an astringent.

I love it, though. Super cheap thing that allows for fuller lashes.

Don’t get it done then work out, though. The dye will run into your eyes, lol.

I wouldn’t do this at home — worst case scenario you could do some serious eye damage, which isn’t work the risk IMO. I’d definitely consider doing it professionally, though.

I’ve had it done twice at Benefit. I’d do it more but I’m too lazy to go more often. I can’t really wear mascara at work cuz I work with chemicals and chemicals in your eye plus mascara is rather unhappy.

I get them tinted at a salon while they wax my brows. It’s about $30 for the whole treatment.

They can also tint your brows.

I feel like for me this would just be asking for trouble, whether or not it’s professionally done.

All the time! But at the spa only. I definitely would not DIY.

Yeah all the time. I just buy a kit and do it in the bathroom, takes all of 5 minutes to do my lashes (black) and brows (brown – I use two kits).

I have an eye condition (blepharitis) and have never had any ill effects. Admittedly if you get the liquid in your eye it stings, but is fine when rinsed with water. The kits themselves tend to last me about 3-6 months depending on how often I do them.
