We’re big nerds, but are only haveing a few tiny nerdy touches in our wedding. They might be missed by some people, but those who really know our nerdy side will catch right on!
I love seeing nerdy things in wedding. Post yours here!
Narwhal Cake Toppers:
Nerdy Ceremony Reading (borrowed from offbeatbride and added a little to it)
Love. What is it? Love is what gives a man his power. It’s an energy felt by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds us all together.
One does not simply walk into marriage. The heart’s gates are guarded by more than just feelings. There must be love there that does not sleep, and a good spouse is ever watchful. It is a road that goes ever on, riddled with friction, anguish, and despair. But it is not folly. There is always hope.
Remember that true love, which is a choice more than a feeling, a solid friendship, and the faithful observance of your vows are the foundation of a successful marriage and a happy and enduring home. Make it so.
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
Remember, Your love will be with you, Always. Let it guide you.

@housebee: HOW did you make them??? I Love these and want to steal the idea.

I read my fiance your reading and he heartily approves. 🙂 I love that it still makes sense without understanding the references, too.
ETA: I am having my wedding in a museum. Also, we are planning on having polymer clay dinosaur cake toppers. We’re huge nerds but having a mixed crowd at our wedding so we don’t want to do anything that would make people feel left out/awkward.

@MissFireFlower: It’s just polymer clay, and the domes are from an etsy seller. The top part is a copper pendant finding (small antique circle) from artbeads.com and is glued to the pin back with E-6000. I used the Magic-Glos, but you can use ice resin, or any other clear resin to fill the pendant after you print whatever you want on a 3/8″ circle. Now I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the process, but feel free to ask me any questions.
