- Wedding: April 2013
Alright – I am not affiliated with this gal in any way, shape, or form. You can look at my past posts and see I’m not a promoter 🙂 I just have to share an excellent story of customer service, and yeah – I totally think she deserves a recommendation because of it!
Back in OCTOBER – I ordered lightweight robes for my bridesmaids and myself to get ready in the day of the wedding. I ordered them from JustCottons on Etsy – she is a gal out of India, her prices were really reasonable, and her communication was great.
I had two bridesmaids that were just barely pregnant (so would be around 8 months by the time the wedding came around), then I am plus size and my Maid of Honor is plus size. So she was very accommodating in being willing to make the robes larger/longer at no extra cost.
I got the robes in a couple of weeks (shipping from India takes awhile!), tried mine on, saw it fit properly, was very satisfied with them. They’re a nice lightweight fabric – we’ll wear them over pants and tank tops to go to the salon. I didn’t think to try on my Maid of Honor’s, since hers was also plus size and the other one fit fine. I wasn’t too worried about the pregnant gals – they can just wear a shirt under it and leave it open if it doesn’t fit right with their bellies.
Well, last night I was wrapping up the gifts for the girls, as the wedding is in 2.5 weeks. Something compelled me to try on Maid of Honor’s robe.
Too small. If it doesn’t fit me, it won’t fit her. It was definitely made larger, just wasn’t large enough.
Oh crap. As you can imagine, giving a plus size bridesmaid something that doesn’t fit is super embarrassing and awkward. (And if you can’t imagine that, I beg you – please don’t do that… it is the worst.)
I freaked out and emailed Chetna at JustCottons and asked her if she would be able to re-make it and send it to me in time for the wedding. Given the shipping times, I figured she wouldn’t be able to, but it was worth a shot. I told her I was willing to pay, money wasn’t an issue.
And I started combing JCPenney and other websites for robes that are short/cute/lightweight and available in standard and plus sizes. Not a lot of luck… found some but they’d be sold out in the sizes/colors I needed.
Within 15 minutes, Chetna messaged me back and said, No problem, she was so sorry, she’d have it remade and sent via DHL so it arrives by March 29th. And under no circumstances would she charge me for it! I replied, so happy, and insisted on paying shipping because her prices were so reasonable to begin with and I didn’t feel right with all that time passing not paying anything. She told me to “Forget it!” and that she was in it for customer satisfaction, not just profit.
WOW. Seriously – I have high standards for customer service, and she blew them out of the water. Making a custom robe and rush shipping it from India at no cost? That is amazing to me. And it has been 5 months since I ordered from her, already left feedback – she has nothing to lose.
So… yeah, this post is a little promotional. BUT, it really is a story about great customer service. And if you’re in the market for robes, I can’t recommend her enough.
I’m so excited about how these robes will look in photos!
