Here’s the menu we’ve worked out with our caterer for a 7pm heavy hors deuvres reception.
We’ll have over a dozen vegetarians out of the 150ish guests.
Have we covered enough of the food spectrum to make everyone happy? Anything glaring that we’ve left out?
Stationary Cocktail Hour:
Cheese, Olives & Fresh Fruit
Fresh Vegetables & Dip
Hummus & Taboolie w/Syrian Bread
Hand Passed Appetizers:
Franks under Cover
Soup Shooters (tomato basil, clam chowder)
Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Dates (brought from Regal Beagle)
Mashed Potato Bar (cheese, wasabi, scallions, bacon bits, sour cream, broccoli)
Mini Sliders (beef/turkey/veggie)
Veggie Sushi (avacado and sweet potato rolls)
Cupcakes (provided by SL)
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Coffee (Regular & Decaf)

@mandypop MMM. Sounds wonderful! And I think you did very well on covering what lots of people will like.

I would love it with the mashed potatos, kebabs and sliders! I’m by far not a vegetarian, and it looks like there is enough to make the veggies happy along with carnivores like myself!

Um, that sounds totally awesome. And I have never even conceived of avocado and potato sushi before, but now I want it so bad.
Oh, and I’m veg, and I would be more than happy. A flexible vegan would probably even make it through and be well fed.

@TankGirl: thanks… good to know, I think a couple are vegan- I’m going to make little placards to mark veggie vs non veggie stuff – I know its annoying when you have to ask or worry…
