Just curious. We did (or at least started to do our registry) this weekend and even thought we’re only looking to have 25ish items total we ended up with 17. Afterward my Fiance (who hates shopping and really didn’t enjoy the process) said “if you want to add anything go for it”. I feel weird adding to our registry without his imput so I’m wondering if other Bees have been in this situation…

Ive added a few things, but I always showed them to my Fiance afterwards.

I did – and told him afterwards. Some things he kinda harumphed about. One, in particular, a Metrokane Rabbit Wine Opener Set he thought was pretty silly, but went along with it. Then I received it for the shower. He used it later that week, and was INSTANTLY CONVERTED. He’s super pleased that we have it! *phew* 🙂

Maybe I’m the minority here, but my fiance has no interest whatsoever in registering! I did it all myself. He likes my taste, I know his taste, and he trusts me not to register for anything he would hate. I don’t even know what I could possibly register for that he’d hate, unless it was something so ridiculous I’d hate it too!
I mean, he would want some input if we were buying a new mattress or kitchen table or other larger ticket item, but kitchen/bedding/bath stuff? That’s my department!

renwoman: My husband was the same way about our registry. Neither one of us cared because we’re in our 30’s with established careers and a household so we really didn’t need anything. What we really wanted was cash but since there wasn’t really any tactful way to ask for that we decided to go with a gift registry.
At different times we would each add something to it when we felt like it. But we probably should’ve communicated a little better cuz we were registered at 2 different places and we ended up with a couple duplicate gifts haha. 🙂

Dialysate: Same here. He has NO idea and leaving most of the planning if not all up to me.

I made our registries by myself. I then drug him to the stores and let him play with the scanner thing for a little bit….then I went home and made sense of the things he added. We’re both established…we have everything we need so I felt stupid making a registry anyway but I know people would ask if we had one. He added the most BIZARRE stuff because he’s a man (and he’s goofy)…and couldn’t careless about our registry.
Also, I do everything house related so how is he supposed to know if we need a new frying pan or new dish towels? He wouldn’t have a clue!
