We’ve discussed our timeline many times. I’ve been told that by our 9th dating anniversary (June 17) of this year we will be engaged 🙂 BUT I know not to expect a proposal until we are done this school year. So anytime between the end of April and the middle of June! It’s all coming up so fast!!!

We’ve only discussed a timeline once.  He says he’ll propose in the next 6 months, and wants to get married six months after that.  I was actually planning on about 1-2 years after that, since I’d like to finish college first…

My timeline began as anytime in 2013 and gradually became by the end of June. Only 112 days to go! 🙂

I’ve gotten “spring” and also “before winter” so who knows what that means! We shall see!

In January he said we’d get married within the next two years, which really makes sense for us since we’re going to be making life-changing decisions in the next 2 years. I then told him that we needed to be engaged for at least a year to plan the wedding (mostly for booking) and he seemed a bit freaked out.

We’re still young, although we’ve been together for 6.5 years and living together for 1.5 years, so I’m trying not to worry about it too much yet!

I also have a “second” timeline. Originally we were going to get engaged last summer, but made the mutual decision (which I initiated) to wait until this coming summer once I’ve graduated from my graduate program. Only 7.5 weeks left until I graduate, then I’ll be hopefully waiting no longer than this coming September!

DBF and I have a very general idea. Right now, we have been together for just under a year, but we both agree that five years together is a long time to “just” be dating. Aside from that, we both envision getting engaged after we move in together, which won’t be for at least another four years.

Ohhhh timelines. We are moving in together in the next 2 weeks. He said depending how that goes will determine if we stay at the same pace we are going or if it “makes the proposal come faster” I don’t even know that that means. I’m not in any rush. He said within the next year, and I believe him. We are limited on how long he is allowed to wait because he is in the military and is only stationed here for a certain amount of time. I told him that we have to be married if he wants me to change stations with him.

A lot of my friends think it will come soon. I think it’s 6+ months away. March was when he was seriously going to consider rings. He changed the email and the password on my wishlist, so I can’t look anymore. He has my list of 6 favorite rings. Now it’s just me waiting.

I’m just excited to be moving in. It’s so nice to be with him on a daily basis!

My BF and I were sitting on the couch and I told him that I was going crazy waiting (he knows that I want to get engaged like yesterday so this is no surprise to him lol) and I told him I need a time line and I gave him the choice of 1-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 months and he told me 1-3 months! That was about a week ago and I’m over the moon. He has even started bringing it up on his own and doesnt seen off put when I bring it up, in fact he seems kind of excited about it. Last night he has a plan a and a plan b for proposing and its pretty much a race to see wat one can happen first.

I did tell him though that it would be nice to have my ring before May 10th because that is when we have to go with his ex wife to a school event of their daughters and I want to sit next to her flashing my ring that I got with no ultimatum! (If you have seen any of my past posts about her you know what I’m talking about… Is it bad that I want to rub it in her face?) Haha I don’t care, I’m gonna do it anyways! Lol

It’s supposed to happen by my graduation! Aaah, it could be any day in the next eight weeks! So by early May, haha.

So naturally I’m quite anxious and on pins and needles about it. Luckily I have 34834098 things to do between now and then so I don’t think about it too much unless if I have a few moments of free time.

In 2 weeks my SO will be putting the last payment on my e-ring, so after that it’s the final countdown. He suddenly asked me if I wanted to take a trip on a weekend in May, which he’s never asked me before. I had a feeling the proposal was going to come around April, but now I’m thinking it will be in May. We already know that we’re going to get married in summer 2015.

Maybe-possibly by 2015.  Yeah.  I’m going to be here for a while.

“before we’ve been together for 7 years”

We’ve been together for a little over 3 years, lol. Seriously, though, he said he wouldn’t until he had a job in his field (he does now, started about 3 weeks ago). I assume he needs a few months, both to save for the ring and to get through the probation/training period.

I’m hoping to be engaged by August at the very latest- that would give me 8 months to plan a wedding for the time period I have in mind, and I feel like anything less than 8 months to plan would be too stressful.

He just tells me a date to shut me up, so it’s been anywhere from a year and a half to 4 more years. Screw it. I’m not getting my hopes up for anything, ever, because doing so never does any good.
