@BeeOi:  +1 I took some info off my profile and changed my very identafiable picture when I started asking questions about my future family and such, just in case! ๐Ÿ™‚

No more changes for me I don’t think, or maybe when I change the stone in my ring, but I might take a very similar picture to keep my identity in tact!

@EffieTrinket:  the first time I saw your avatar I got excited and shouted at Fiance, “Honey, someone on these boards reads QC!” No one we know follows it so I was glad to see another fan here on WB ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven’t changed my avatar yet because I really like it. I might change it after I get married if I have a wedding pic I like enough. But I kind of worry about someone I know in real life recognizing my face.

I changed my avatar once and it was a pic of my engagement ring. I thought it was boring and I love LSP

@This Time Round:  I’ve seen your avatar everywhere and definitely know its you just by the picture but I never really noticed that yours was sea glass, I just saw pretty colours haha. Now that I look closer I can see it.

I definitely associate the avatars with their owners and would get confused if someone changed theirs. I quite the anonomity of mine so I think I will stick with it.

I changed it once, from a “silhouette” photo of myself to a generic silhouette (though I am suspicious that my avatar is Barbie, I honestly don’t know)

@MrsBananas:  I changed my avatar to something anonymous, at first it was just a pic of Fiance and I, and despite the fact that I post pictures, I’d like my avatar to be more subtle! ๐Ÿ™‚

@MrsBananas:  I changed it, I think only once.  I got paranoid one day that someone would recognize me by my ring from real life and figured I should change it to something less descriptive.  In reality, if someone who knows me really wanted to they could figure out it’s me by my user name (people who’ve known me a long time will likely recognize it) and i’ve posted enough random details about my life that my friends could probably guess it’s me.

Hi @Dogsbody92:  Ya in its smaller version it looks just like a bunch of colours… BUT if you click on anyone’s User Name it will take you to their profile page… and there you’ll see a much larger clearer version of their Avatar.  It clearly is seaglass then.

Mine has always been the same and I don’t plan on changing it. I don’t know if anyone associates my avatar with me, but it helps me find my own posts when I want to go back through and re-read what I wrote and make sure there are no grammatical errors!

I’ve changed mine from: my shoes & parasol to my dog to another picture to this one. I might change it later, but the avatar wouldn’t be offensive. :p

I started with a picture of me and my then-boyfriend, now-husband, but after like, a year I realized that it would be cool to match my username, so I changed it!  And that was like, a year or two ago.

I’ve had the same avatar since I chose my shoes for the wedding, and I’m pretty sure everyone associates me with the blue shoe, so no, I don’t think I’ll change it, though a few have mentioned that they’d love to see a true pengoala avatar. ๐Ÿ™‚
