I bought my dress my first night out – tried on only 5 and I fell totally in love with it. I had that ‘moment’. I actually cried and when I put it back on a second time just to be sure, I got chills. Done deal.
Then…….I started second guessing myself, and I’ve actually gone out again twice now looking at gowns, there’s just so many amazing dresses out there! I even did another round of trying on new dresses, and I fell in love with 2 more I tried on!
I knew I shouldn’t have done that!!! AAAHHH cheater’s remorse!!! Now I’m so confused!

LOL! No – but I did buy a reception dress. I hope Wedding Dress is not jealous
Once you find your dress you really need to stop looking – you could techinically find a new one to love everytime you go out.

just stick with the first one! Since you fell in love with TWO more not just one, i think you just love dreses in general. Stop cheating and stop watching dress shows and remember why you love YOUR dress!

I poked around while we were shopping for my mom’s dress last night, but hey… not married yet, looking’s OK.

I did try on other dresses after I tried the one that I feel in love with.
But nothing compared… so I called, went back and bought it – and I still love it immensely.
I do look at pictures of other dresses frequently. But that’s just porn; not cheating imho.

Yes, a few times. I fall in and out of love with my dress but I really haven’t found anything I like better. I thought I did but realized it just wasn’t right.
Hopefully my dress will forgive me.

Yes, I did cheat on my dress. I had a lot of issues with it fitting correctly, so I needed to look for a plan B if it wasn’t going to work out. I mainly stayed close to what I found in my first dress, but I did try on a few things that were radically different than anything I had tried before, so I had fun with it!
I think my dress forgave me because I actually wore it.
Share your dress journey! Did you take pictures?

Yep! I cheated with Sunday Rose.. shes a dirty girl too. I left thinking about her constantly.. but in the end.. she just wasn’t the one.

Just like my Fiance, when I found the one I stopped looking. However, I do need to find a simple second dress for the later part of my reception but I haven’t started looking yet so wish me luck.

It’s amazing how trying (or even looking at) more dresses feels like “cheating,” isn’t it? What does that say about the wedding industry, and the crazy importance we put on finding the perfect dress? I just wrote about my seemingly crazy journey here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/help-keep-my-current-dress-or-buy-a-new-one
That’s the problem with continuing to look – unless you really feel unhappy about your first dress, in which case you SHOULD look. But you might just end up buying another!

I haven’t cheated on my dress yet… but I HAVE second guessed myself and wonder if it’s just me doing what I normally do with big decisions… or if it’s really a voice I should listen to! Eeek! I think I need to go try it on again to be sure… but as if right now I’m only out a $100 deposit to the bridal shop. If I go back, I’ll owe them more of course! I think I am mostly concerned of being too self conscious about the strapless style (b/c I don’t like my arms), which would likely happen in any dress… what would you do? A photo of my dress is posted in my gallery.
