Yes - I gave him hints/we went shopping together etc.

No - He did it all without me!

Still waiting (he hasn't asked and I haven't given him any clues) ....Yet.

Me and the boy have been browsing at rings on a couple of occasions for the last couple of years. He has a good idea what I like (something clean, simple looking, but platinum and a small sparkly diamond)

I would hate for him to spend ALOT of money on it, but he is one of these that believe quality is worth every dime, so I may be waiting for longer. He has already hinted at where he will purchase the ring from.. and on the last occassion we were looking at rings he seemed to get a bit nervous when I pointed out a different style of ring I liked the look of!

I dont want to get my hopes up, but I think hes found the ring, and possibly already put it on layaway.. hence the panic when I picked something else out! He’s already hinted that he likes the look of a square cut diamond rather than round.. so I had a look on the store website.. they only have one that fits everything..

I really hope its the one hes picked as I LOVE IT! But I would happily be proposed to with a plastic ring!

I have looked at probably thousands of rings in my lifetime, but this is the one that has “me” written all over it. I like the simplicity of a solitaire, but I find it too plain. I also love floral designs so I find this style to be perfect, plus it’s a lower setting which I have always wanted. The only issue with that is that a wedding band would have to be made…

Hrm, i totally would like to say he 100% did it on his own, but after being together for 6 years there were a decent amount of hints dropped. I told him i liked halo rings and white gold. I used to look at rings online so i’m sure he saw what i was looking at. Eventually, he ended up with my most perfect ring… I think he would’ve ended up there without any hints.

Boyfriend or Best Friend and I have been talking about getting engaged for a few months now, but a diamond was never really in the budget.. After doing some research we came across Moissanite and are really thrilled with this affordable yet gorgeous option.

I’ve been going back and forth on a few different settings but I came across this one yesterday and instantly fell in love. I sent him a pic and he said he can’t wait to give it to me!!!

I’m going to be a bit different to the pack here, and put up this as my ideal ring:

Only difference is that it’s green and white sapphires [not diamonds and emeralds] and I’d have the stones swapped around, e.g. green as the main, white on the side etc.

I am already engaged, but he picked out my ring all on his own. This is my set. I only wear the engagement ring right now and he has taken the wedding band and locked it in the fire proof box along with his ring (I don’t have a key 😛 )

the rings i am getting is actually my great-grandmothers wedding set. she left them to me when she died when i was less than a year old. i dont have a picture of the set (yet) and i havnt gotten the ring yet but i do know from a mutual friend who is like my sister(and horrible about keeping secrets) that he has asked my father for the ring (my dad keeps the set in a safe at his house) and has something planned that will take place before the end of october. im so excited i love this ring beyond all imagining and its even more special because its a family heirloom from a part of my family that i never really got to know. when i was younger nad living with my dad i would sneak into his room where the safe was kept( i had a key) and pull out the ring just to admire it and now knowing that someday soon it will be MY ring to wear is just fantastic! oh and aobut the ring its a illusion set brilliant cut stone with 4 smaller illusion set stones2 on each side. its a pretty tall setting and this this WONDERFUL filligree detail on the side of the ring. its white gold and the center stone if i had to guess is approximatly 1/2 carat. the wedding band has 5 diamonds set like the side stones of the engagement ring with the same filigree work. they were never saudered together and also the bands are quite thin especially in the band. my great- grandmother wore them everyday for over 50years

My fiance surprised me and had my ring custom made.  He took my mom with him to the jeweler and told her he wanted me to have a “one of a kind”.  He brought a bunch of pictures of rings with different things he liked about each one. I absolutely love it, it’s so sparkly!  The band is hand engraved and has an antique look to it, you can’t really see that in the picture.  After 9 years together, he proposed overlooking the vegas strip and it couldn’t have been more perfect:)

Pics of my ring from a previous engagement!  He really did a great job!  But..I think it would just be too weird to have the exact same ring!  I would be fine with a resetting or an upgrade from trading this in Cool  This one was from Brent L Miller Jewelers (local place that also sells online)This is my semi-realistic dream ring from Ritani!

I’m a little obsessed with this etsy ring. We’re planning on picking out a ring together when we’re all ready for go time, so I’m pretty sure it’ll be mine someday. 🙂

I had to have a few conversations with the mister before he was able to grasp that I did not want a diamond. I picked my perfect ring, and now I’m patiently waiting for it. 66 days!
