    @copperbird90:  That band and others like –gorgeous! But I have to say, I picture it getting full of crud. That’s just what I do not need, a ring that has crevices of dirt and debris.

    @Mine29:  I. LOVE. THAT. RING.  It is SOOOOO blingy but has an art-deco, vintage class air to it.  The baguettes going all the way around the band makes it so unusual.  Verra, verra nice.

    @lionsheart:  Love this ring, it’s the Kwiat one right?

    It’s almost exactly like what I am gwtting but mine will be with a radiant cut centre stone. We went though a custom jeweller and i also asked them to make it so a wedding band can be worn flush with it.

    I am already engaged and my fiancé proposed with a $20 ring so I can choose my own. I should have photos of the completed ring on Sunday and have the real thing on my hand in a couple of weeks as it is getting made in Dubai.

    @oliviajuice:  I really really like that!  I’ve never see the (i don’t know what to call it) petal halo-ish thing.  I love it!

    @monique_w:

    That’s awesome! Congratulations! I can’t wait to see it! Yes, that’s the Kwiat one. I tried it on and we both loved it. My boyfriend also plans to have it custom made by Leon Mege, who also makes this exact double claw prong step tapered baguette design, but Leon Mege is in NY which is way too far from us to actually go there. He can have it made and shipped by Mege, we never have to go there, but I wanted to try it on first so that’s why I tried on the Kwiat.

    Make sure you post a pic of your ring when you get it!

    I want a classic solitaire, round cut, 4 prongs, platinum.  There are a ton of rings that I find pretty, though.

    I really like side detailing and classic, timeless solitaires.  I told my DH the following criteria as what I wanted in a ring: Tacori, round brilliant cut solitaire, around 1 carat, platinum, 4 prongs holding up the diamond.

    I ended up with this: Tacori, round brilliant cut solitaire, .90 carats colorless VVS (a larger diamond with the same quality would have been ridiculously expensive.  I’m happier with a slightly smaller diamond with a higher quality than a larger diamond with poorer quality), 18K white gold (platinum was out of his price range), and 4 prongs.  It’s my dream ring!!  It’s so gorgeous and I can’t imagine having anything else!

    @lionsheart:  Thanks, I will definitely post a pic when I get it. I have heard of Leon Mege, his work is amazing. Are you on Pricescope? So minch beautiful jewellery on there.

    This is my VERY vintage inspired moissy halo ring from Etsy! (Not my hand, we’re ordering it in March!)

    @Mine29:  I think you should get whatever ring speaks to you more, no matter what other people think of it because people who will judge will judge no matter what you do. 🙂

    I’ve thought about what I want and I’m kind of torn also. I like simple solitaires and at the same time I absolutely love blingy rings.

    One of my favorite rings in the whole world, though, is

    @MrsSkeletonKey‘s ring. Hope she doesn’t mind my reposting one of her pics onto this thread! I love everything about it, from the fact that it’s an OEC to the dainty halo, to the prongs that look like they’re slightly squishing the ring! If I had to choose a ring today, I think that one would be the one I’d go with. Thankfully I don’t have to choose yet because honestly I am the type to change my mind a lot. I really love a lot of the rings designed by the JBEG, who are the designers of MrsSkeletonKey’s ring.

    @Mine29:  SO won’t allow me to choose but I was able to send him an example of what I’d like.  It will have these materials but not sure about the style.  Rose gold, peach sapphire.
