I couldn’t vote. I would vote no but mainly because I never had a hangover. I used to drink A LOT but was very lucky to wake up the next day completely fine.
When I worked retail years ago, yes. I remember going out to my car and taking a nap on my break. It was so bad, I never did it again!
Yeah unfortunately I’m hungover and at work right now …. just two more hours and I can go home and pass out
haha if 4th of July wasn’t on a Wednesday never!!! I used to do it in college when people could smoke in bars and it used to just absorb in my long hair. I had to go to work really early and if i didn’t have time to shwoer or even if I did that smell just made me all the more hungover. UGH!
Oh yea. It blows.
I had a hangover the day after Fathers Day this year (don’t judge me!). My co-worker decided she wanted to eat an entire rotisserie chicken at her desk which in turn made me teeter on the brink of losing my lunch. I never actually got sick (haven’t thrown up from a hangover in years) but it was crazy bad.
@Rouquine: That so used to be me. When I was an exchange student in Hong Kong, we’d go out all night til the clubs closed on Thursdays, and then I would come home, sleep for 45 minutes, and go to a 3-hour class reeking of cigarette smoke with my ears ringing from the speakers.
Nowadays, if I get anywhere close to drunk on a ‘school night’ I want to kill myself until at least 2PM the next day.
Not that that really stops me …
I’ve never been hungover at work but in my college glory days, I have shown up at 5am rowing practice still drunk from the night before. That was infinitely more fun than being hungover though.
haha when you work at a University and spend the night celebrating with colleagues and all come in hungover and an hour or so late the next day it is not so miserable as much as it is comical. As long as you make it to work the next day and are not the worst, you get to make fun of the guy who could not get out of bed and have an excuse to go to the burger shop for lunch and eat french fries. This happens about once per semester and usually on a Thursday night so it makes for a rough Friday.
Sadly, I’ve done it a couple of times in my 21-year-old days when I didn’t exactly know what my limits were quite yet.
Never threw up at work from a hangover, but headaches? Yip.
I went to previous jobs hungover but I’ve worked at my current job for four years and have never ever gone in hungover. The one time I drank too much during the work week I wound up calling in sick and felt so guilty about it that I never did it again!
Yup. Management actually always knows when there’s been a party the night before just from how people look and act when they come in. There’s always the “I’m pretty sure you’re all still drunk. Just keep it together.”
I havent had a hangover in a while though. Not even after 3 straight days of drinking ALL DAY in Vegas.
