soon2bS:  LOL – used to work at AE in highschool and that’s when Aerie was new. I was chosen as an Aerie girl (whatever that is). They “taught us” how to fit people and it was a joke. I wouldn’t trust anyone who is in highschool and working part-time at AE to fit a bra, just from my experience. I would go to a repcialty store if you have one in your area, or a repuatable department store.

Scou:  That’s awesome! I remember feeling SO GOOD when I was fitted at a boutique shop in highschool. I was no longer “Katerina Boobalina” as my friends so lovingly called me (they still call me that on occasion, but its pretty funny now that I am no longer a self-conscious pre-teen). It looked like I lost 10 poinds with the right bra, it was amazing. So thank you, because I know the difference between a boutique fitting and a department store fitting and it really made an impact on my self-confidence as a teenager. It also helped my back a lot to be fitted.

Victoria’s secret is the worst! They sized me as 4 band sizes off and like 3 cup sizes off. It didn’t come close to fitting. But they don’t sell my size so they tried to “trick me” into buying one that they had. Every bra fits differently, so my size depends on the bra. People have this image in their head of a “D” cup, the cup size volume is dependent on the band size, there is no standard “D” cup look.

People need to get the 1950’s bra sizing out of their heads and get educated about modern bra sizing/cuts. You’re not supposed to add 4″ or 5″ to your band unless you’re buying a 1950 bra on ebay. If you measure as a 32, you’re a 32.

A D cup on a 30″ band is like an A on a 36″ band. Men are just as bad, my boyfriend was practically yelling at me when I bought a large cup size bra (with a small band) because my chest is not that big, but then when he saw it fit me perfectly it changed his whole idea of bras. LOL.

I have a great image of women in D cup bras, from a 28D to a 38D and it’s crazy how small a 28D chest is, but I have no idea if I’m allowed to post an image of women in bras. LOL

ImaStarr:  I decided to get sized right before our wedding so I would be wearing a comfortable bra. I’m SOOOO happy I did!

I was wearing a 38B, I’m actually 40C. It feels sooo much better now! And I’m also not ripping it off the first chance I get. Because now my bras actually fit! haha

I havent got sized at VS since i was like 18 and then i found out i was 28F but VS sized me at 34D. Never again!!! I get fitted either at Intimacy or Nordstrom whenever i buy new bras. I have so many different sizes and my cup size is always going up not down.

I had it done but I was already wearing the right size since I’d seen enough of those TV shows where they excoriate and shame the poor women for wearing the wrong bra size. So I looked up how to measure myself and figured it out on my own. It’s actually pretty easy if you’ve got a tape measure.

I really need to get fitted. I’m up at least a cup size and none of my bras fit at all. Where in the UK is best to go, UK bees?

I need to bite the bullet and get fitted as well once I lose a few more pounds. Does Nordstrom have a wide variety of sizes available? I know I’m going to be up there.

I finally got fitted and it turned out I needed to go down a band size and up a cup size. The girls have never looked better now that I’m wearing the proper size and it’s much more comfortable now that I don’t have to keep adjusting it constantly.

I was fitted in college and had a pretty good grasp on when to go up a cup size or band size as I lost and gained weight for a few years.. but recently my bras DO NOT FIT RIGHT AT ALL! Unfortunately the only Nordstrom in Houston is the Galleria and I hate crowds…
