Are they even necessary? I read in a couple articles that favors are something you should cut to cut costs. Every wedding I’ve ever been to the favors have been some sort of chocolate (Little candies, or hershey kisses, chocolate covered oreos). I don’t think I have ever eaten the favor or taken it home. To me it seems like a giant waste of money, esp when we are serving cake and different deserts, cookies, etc. We are having a top shelf open bar so I dont think anyone will even miss them. So the only way I think I am actually going to have favors is if I can find something cheap and that is actually practical. (I am considering koozies, but that will only pertain to about half the guests that drink beer.)?

I can’t remember a wedding where I actually took the favor!

I have never really cared for any of the favors I have received. I would probably just cut them out all together. While the koozie idea is probably one of the better ones, I just never care to use a koozie with other people’s names and a wedding date on it. Even my Fiance, who loves koozies, throws them away.

Candy bar, photobooth, etc. = yes! Mugs, koozies, etc. = no!

I only like favors if they are edible. We had local cookies as our favor and people enjoyed them ( I think many were drunkenly eaten). However they certainly weren’t necessary. I’ve never used non- edible favors (seed packets, cookie cutters, shot glasses) especially if they were personalized.

A friend had a very small (under 30 guests) wedding and gave out pint glasses and flasks. Those were cool, and I liked the tic tacs someone else had, but I passed on the jam, honey, photo booth pics, beer coozies, donation in my honor, seed packets, picture frames… I am completely fine with not receiving a wedding favor

No favor has ever been worth the money the bride and groom spent on it except once when we got a botttle of wine.

I can’t think of a single favour I have taken home or enjoyed

Only if they are edible, or photobooth pictures. Otherwise, save your money, and please do
not personalize anything. Why would anyone think someone wants a glass with your wedding date on it???

We had homemade gourmet jams, pickled veggies (Giadiniera), etc that our aunt who’s a chef made and our guests are still raving about them. Our families and friends are “foodies” so it made sense to do gourmet favors. We also had a photobooth so I guess you can count those as favors too. Do what makes sense for your guests.

Candy bar is my favorite!!

If they’re edible, I like them. If they aren’t…I don’t.

We had truffles made by a local chocolate company- they are amazing. People were searching the tables for ones that had been left behind! I like to think that they were a success! But I might be biased…
As for other people’s favors, I haven’t received any that were amazing. Edible is always best though!

I like photobooths, I’d rather have a photo than most of the other favors. My cousin used pretty blue mason jars for drinks and then gave out the tops at the end so we could take them home. I actually use the jar for storage.
