Have you ever damaged your ring or setting? I have had mine since March and even though I try to be extra careful, I must have hit the setting against something. It has a scratch / rough spot on one of the prongs.
How does that get fixed?

Take it to your Jeweller and ask them, what can be done that won’t damage the structure of the ring. It maybe a simple polish will get the rough patch out, but you need to ask a professional
I knocked my stone right out of my ring when I had a fall at work. I hit my hand off a door frame. Had a lovely bruise and a ring with no stone. I made everyone search for it. Luckily it was found. I had to take it to my Jeweller for repair.

I know my local jeweler recommends bringing your ring in every six months or so for cleaning and to check for loose prongs so I would find someone like that in your area. I’ve lost a side stone before and I’ve also broken a pave diamond in half (still don’t understand how that was possible). So bezels only for me from now on!

A couple weeks ago I was cleaning my ring and dropped in on our concrete floors. Two prongs shattered and a side stone fell out. Luckily it didn’t go far so I just collected everything and took it to my jeweller. They fixed it the same day – rebuilt prongs and all!

Take it to a jeweler to have it looked at. They will buff it out or they might have to repair the prong.

I knocked my stone right out, too. While making my bed of all things, I hit it against the bedside table. Freaked me out. My jeweler ended up putting a different head with double corner prongs on it, but talk to your jeweler. They should be able to fix it. It’s gonna get a bit damaged if you wear it every day, that’s just life.
