GirlyGirl24:  Well considering you picked on the spot and he wanted you to choose, and you’re with in the return period and you TRULY KNOW you’d be finally happy I think you should tell him asap.

Normally im in camp suck it up if he picked it and gifted it to you, but he wanted you to pick.

And then thats it. Be happy for ever or at least 20 years.

GirlyGirl24:  There’s nothing wrong with changing the setting … or diamond for that matter. I am a little sedimental so I plan on keeping my center stone, but changing the setting as my taste changes over the years. I plan on keeping my current setting for at least 5 years though! Major purchases always cause me anxiety and regret because that’s just the way I am. You’re not alone!

I dnt but my Fiance does we purchased the ring a while back in august as a promise ring and i suggested after a financial discussion rhat he take rhe ring back and use it for our engagement. Weve been engaged 3 days he was looking at it closelt and he was like “omg i need to get you a better ring!”  Lol i love the ring but its got miniscule 1mm diamonds so its cheap was only $300.   Doesnt bother me but after he realized, hes been bothered. Its cute

GirlyGirl24:  I chose my wedding band and feel ring regret (love the e-ring my man chose). I worried a little about how thick it was, and I started wearing it around the apartment to get used to it. Well, turns out, I can’t. It’s just too bulky, and it’s uncomfortable.

I told Fiance, since the money was from our joint account. He agreed that I should just choose a new one and try to sell the old one. It was only $150 so it’s no huge loss, and since what I want is even more low profile it will be quite cheap.

Don’t feel bad about it and talk to your fiance. I picked out my wedding band and returned it when I saw how it looked with my engagement ring. I chose a completely different one and was 100% happy. Well worth the minor hassle of having to return the old one and look for a new one. My fiance was completely fine with my decision and agreed that the new one looked better.

    GirlyGirl24:

Your fiance obviously wants to make you happy and it makes sense to be sure about large purchases which affect both of you. This situation is great practice for marriage.
