I was reading this article recently and aside from the freaky content matter, the readers’ comments were interesting to say the least. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2665899/Possessed-girl.html
It seems a lot of people have had negative experiences with ouija boards or know of someone who has. What is yout take on this, Bees? Any stories to tell?

I played with one with my brothers when I was a wee kidlet. Nothing exciting. They’re just a boardgame that harnesses your subconsious to scare the crap out of you. I’d love to do something like this again with my husband and friends. Could be a fun party game.

Not me. A friend had one back when we were in 6th grade; played once and nothing happened.

My mom would never let us. She always said, even if nothing happens, why risk opening a door for something you may not be able to get to leave? She’s a nurse in a unit where a lot of patients die, and she’s seen some spooky stuff, so I always believed her.

Arshim:Yes, I had a weird experience with one when I was a teenager and still lived at home. Me and my mom bought a really nice one, hand made, from Salem, Ma around Halloween when they have all those festivities going on. I swear weird stuff kept happening after we brought it home and started using it.
Lights would go on and off, you would hear footsteps in the attic, I once saw the shadow of a person coming down the stairs but when I looked no one was there. It all came to a head when my dad, whose a total skeptic, woke up one night and saw the bodies of 4 skeleton like people hanging in the air in front of him. He said he thought he was dreaming at first and just kept starting at them in disbelief. He knew it was real when he had to get up and walk past them to turn on the light. They were gone once the light was on. He told us if anything like that happened again, we were moving.
We threw the Ouija board out and had the house blessed by our priest after that. Yeah I don’t touch that kinda stuff anymore.

I never wanted to take the chance. My grandmother did and her house was “haunted” ever since. Nothing really ominous. But after her passing, I was working alone in her house, and I heard footsteps on the floor above me. Nobody was there.

I don’t necessarily believe in the board per se, but I respect stuff like that enough not to fool around with it.
