The first wedding date my Fiance and I picked was August 6th, 2012 but we had to push it back because of finances. Before we pushed it back though: After a month of planning for this wedding date I began having crazy dreams:
My fiance and I didn’t have an officiant, and we had to look for an officiant on the DAY OF the wedding, plus the groom’s men didn’t have their tuxes and had to go out and buy them on the fly and I hadn’t bought any of the decorations so I had to take my M.O.H to a local craft store and throw streamers everywhere.
My fiance forgot that today was our wedding day and I called him and he was still asleep and had to come in his Wolverine shirt and PJ bottoms.
I forgot the marriage lisence and I forgot to send out invites and had to call everyone to come to the wedding the day of.
I also had a “nightmare” so to speak…
My fiance got this girl I hate pregnant and I decided I wanted to raise the baby myself.
Needless to say I have had some crazy dreams. Now that we have pushed back our wedding date a year from now my dreams have basically gone away, I’ve had two one dream was amazing, my second dream was my wedding cake wasn’t the way I wanted it. LOL, so not too bad. I am a little worried that once the date gets closer these crazy dreams will come back!
Has any other bee had crazy dreams about her wedding? Is this normal? What were some of your weirdest dreams for the wedding?

yup. I had a REALLY vivid dream that I took my wedding dress out of the bag and it was covered in stains – like nasty makeup and grease stains all over it. When I started freaking out, my bridesmaids and my mom were all like “why are you upset? they’re hardly even visbible!” and they kept accusing me of being dramatic and laughing at me.

I barely had any dreams but I did have one where my mom was like “Oh, honey, it was such a beautiful ceremony!” and I was like “What ceremony??” Turns out I got married and I didnt remember a darn thing about it. She tried to comfort me by saying “Don’t worry, we got great pictures” and I was like “I DONT WANT PICTURES! I WANT TO REMEMBER!”
thankfully, I’ve gotten married, and so far Ive managed to remember bits and pieces of it :p. The pictures do help though lol

I’ve had nightmares all along the way, typically me scrambling to do things the morning of the wedding. Things I had not done in real life at the time of the dream. I’m so neurotic.

I had one, where the Ori (evil aliens from Stargate SG-1) invaded the wedding and Spike, Angel and Buffy came to save us. And that is when I realized stress and watching too many series on Netflix was a bad mix.

@mandypop: Dear God, that would freak me out. Sounds like I dream I would have!
@AllShookUp: That comforts me that weddings can be great, and well done even if your dreams tell you other wise, or in your case when you cannot remember them!
@LMD84: That has been happening to me! Those dreams really stress me out. I am pretty sure if you could watch me sleep you would see me rip my blankets around with an angry face. xD LOL.
@chasesgirl: Haha that is epic! At least you had an adventure for your wedding dream!

I had a “oh crap I forgot I was getting married today and I haven’t done anything” dream before I was engaged.
To be fair, we’ve been talking about it for forever but still. It was a stressful one trying to get everything done in a day!

@subjunctivitis: Aren’t those some scary dreams?!

I had one recently where I had invited everyone to the wedding but when I got to the planned venue, we had never actually booked anything with them. So we had to scramble and beg them to accommodate us and help us out with food. Eventually we did get married, but another couple were having my dream wedding, and we had to settle for a small space$$$
Then the wedding turned into a rock concert with the Offspring playing, for some weird reason.

@JoJoDahling: I’m at the point where I can’t fall asleep because I keep thinking about accessories (shoe clips, veils, necklaces) so I’m not sure which is worse haha

@blastkiss: Oh goodness, that sounds like a really stressful dream.
I had a dream that I didn’t shave before my wedding and my dress in real life is actually strapless and I was afraid everyone could see I hadn’t taken a shower, let alone shaved to look decent….Gah. xD
@subjunctivitis: I do that too! I have to keep a note pad by my bed so I can write this kind of stuff out just to get it out of my head and onto some paper to keep me calm.

I just had two last night! The first one was a dream in which I was having an affair with my ex ( trust me…. nightmare! ah! ) and the second one was one in which the ceremony was done but I didn’t have shoes so I left like right after and ran to payless for some reason and couldn’t find any shoes so I went back and finished the wedding sans shoes. The second one is obvious… I am having an epic hard time finding shoes :/

I had a dream where I let my fiance do all the planning for the wedding cuz i got fed up and the ceremony was AWFUL. like, we didn’t even share a kiss or anything and i think the whole thing lasted 10 minutes. To add to the entire ridiculousness of it, he had given everyone who attended the wedding a FREE GOLDFISH. so everyone was sitting in their seats with a bag on their laps that had their goldfish in it. oh my, i must be losing my mind!

I had one a few nights ago about the ceremony. Bascially what happened was that I all of the sudden found myself at the ceremony. But I wasn’t at the front or in the first row of pews where I should be. I was in the some random pew a few rows back and next to my parents. I had no memory of how I had gotton there, no memory of the vows, or of Commuion (we’re having a full Catholic mass). Eventually I deduced that I had, for some unknown reason, followed my dad to his seat after Communion instead of sticking with my husband and staying at the front. I tried to remember what we had done in rehearsal, but I had no memory of the rehearsal either. So just as I’m starting to panick, the mass ends and our priest leaves and my H follows him down the aisle. I leave with the rest of the guests. Afterwards I was really pissed off that no one said anything or directed me back to where I should be. I was super upset and crying (I never EVER cry) and I wanted to yell at the priest. I was embarrassed and upset that I didn’t get to walk down the aisle with my new husband. I kept claiming that the wedding had been ruined!
@karebear1913: The part about the goldfish is cracking me up! I’m sorry, but that’s hilarious!

YES! I’ve had 3!
1) My Fiance and I actually forgot it was our wedding day. We were just sitting in our apartment watching TV. Then something came on TV with the date and we realized and we hurried up and got ready in our spare bedroom. He helped me put my dress on (which devastated me bc he wasnt suppose to see it before the ceremony). Then he put his tux on and I threw up my hair and we left.
2) We were at the venue and no one was coming, that’s when we realized we forgot to send out the invitations.
3) Once again, we’re at the venue but this time there are guests and the ceremony went well. Reception is about to start and I walk into the kitchen and there is no one/nothing there… we forgot to book a caterer.
Who does ANY of these things?? Lol… my mind plays evil tricks sometimes!
