My bridesmaids are wearing ann taylor bridesmaids dresses. I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to wear them again. My maid of honor has said she actually plans on wearing the dress again a month later as a guest at someone else’s formal wedding.

My maid of honor picked her own dress, and it’s a classic J. Crew design that I think/know she’ll wear again.
I’ve only been in one wedding, and the bride picked the dress. It was a color and cut that I wouldn’t wear again because it wasn’t flattering at all.

nope! i have 4 dresses just sitting in the closet.
i am however letting my bm’s reuse the dresses we bought for our friends wedding last year so they will get to wear them again… as bm’s. does that count? =) i’m not that picky, the dresses look good and are the right color, so why not save them some $.

I have a J Crew dress I’ve worn like four times after the wedding. The other two just scream BRIDESMAID to me and thus I cannot wear them again..

And it’s funny because all I ever heard was “oh and it’s so great because you’ll be able to wear it again!” when the whole time I was thinking “yeah right!”
Not a huge deal, I was able to donate a dress in the past, so perhaps someone was able to wear it. I’m planning on either selling or upcycling the others I have, as they are definitely not something I would ever be able to wear again, unless I just so happened to be in a wedding party requiring that colour/style of dress. (not very likely).

The only wedding I’ve been in we bought black cocktail dresses, which I have worn again as part of a Halloween costume (I was Audrey Hepburn, not something crazy). I think people think you can wear them when you go to all sorts of fancy parties, but really, who does that?

I’ve never rewore the bridesmaid dress that I wore at a friend’s wedding, but I think my girls will definately be able to. They are wearing this Alfred Sung dress in black and will have it shortened to above the knee.

I’ve only worn 1 out of the 3 so far, and it was the dress that was not bought from a “BM” section. The last wedding I was in, we wore dresses from the J.Crew line so maybe I’ll wear it again by toning it down with a cardigan?

Yea defiantly not. I think if you want ur BMs to wear it again it really cant be a bridesmaid dress bc thats exactly what it is…. A BRIDESMAID DRESS.

My Bridesmaid or Best Man wanted to wear the dresses I picked to other weddings before mine, so I am happy I picked a good one.

I’ve only been a bridesmaid once and it was for my brothers wedding…and let’s just say I didn’t even want to wear it then. My sis-in-law picked them out without even asking us what we thought and I guess she found them at a bargain because she paid for them…which was really nice. But it would’ve been nicer if she would have considered that a petite size doesn’t fit well on someone’s who is 5’11.

Nope. I’ve been a bridesmaid 8 times. Yes, that’s right. 8 times.
I never re-wore any of the dresses. I donated them to a theatre I was working at – for the costume shop. I think they’ve been used over the years. 🙂

I was concerned about this until my Maid/Matron of Honor (love her!) told me to stop worrying about it. I told them “blue dress, cocktail length” and they picked out what they wanted (I was extremely budget conscious and didn’t want to burden them with an expensive dress they didn’t care for, and I figured they would be able to pick a dress that looked good and was their style better than me). My Maid/Matron of Honor said she keeps her Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and some she’s worn again, others not but she’s had a great time in all of them!

I’ve been in 4, never worn any of the dresses again. But 2 are very bridesmaidy, one is very not-my-style and the last is bright orange.
