I think lots of dresses look good aon girls with a little booty. And the haute couture models just look so mad, i like to see a dress on a smiling girl!

The model for my dress is actually bigger than me (guess kudos to the designer for not using stick-thin girls) but she looks really angry about something, and walks on the runway like she’s going to go beat up someone from the audience. Doesn’t make the dress look very pretty, and adds to my dress anxiety since that 15 second clip of the runway show is all I have to look at till my 2010 collection dress arrives 🙁

[email protected] vistagirl, very insightful.  I’d be pissed if I couldn’t eat because I had to fit into small clothes all the time Undecided

I totally agree! I tried on a dress that was gorgeous and hugged my curves beautifully, I tried to find it online and was having a really hard time, I couldn’t recognize the beautiful curve hugging dress on the stick thin nasty model.

i was a model (not a successful model by any means and eventually quit trying) when i was younger and after already being thin my agent wanted me to diet like crazy.  i am a big eater and i was NOT happy!

Most of the models I see I wish I could give a cheeseburger to. Or at least a waffle.

When you see real brides that are thin, do you have the same reaction as when you see it on a model?

when i see real brides that are thin they usually look so happy and the models generally don’t – which i get b/c its a job – not a real experience!

but there is nothing at all wrong with being thin!  i was super thin most of my life and I wasn’t trying to be thin, it was just they way I was.

@ tbk: Usually a real bride looks so happy and in her element, I can’t be critical!  These models though, even the ones that don’t look angry, you can just tell that they are just wearing what they were told to wear.  They don’t love that dress, and they aren’t feeling any real emotion.  They just look empty or something.  Where as a picture of a real bride, thin, plus size, green hair, whatever, usually has an entirely different feel to it.
