My friend just did this as well and she used Rust-Oleum Counter top transformation kits and it turned out awesome.

Wow, that looks good! And way cheaper than buying a whole new countertop!
Looks so good you’ll have to update your cabinets!!! I love how it came out!
Wow, look just like granite from a pic! Are you going to paint the cabinets now?
1. scrub counters with SOS pad and rinse a couple of times
2. tape off all areas that you don’t want paint on( I also put plastic bags over my drawers just to be safe)
3. roll on primer and let set 8 hrs (works great to do it before bed)
4. use sponge to apply first color then repeat with second then third ( I forgot to take pics of each layer) and let dry at least 4 hrs
5. use 600 grit sand paper to smooth surface
6. roll on first layer of clear coat and let dry at least 4 hours
7. repeat second clear coat and let dry 24hrs before touching
they say let dry 3 days before gently using counters and about a week before setting things on counters. It does take 2 weeks to fully cure.
Wow – that looks great! I would have never guessed paint could do that!
looks great! thanks for posting, we are considering doing this. It doesn’t seem too overwhelming with your instructions!
