i’m trying to figure out what we’re going to go for as we definitely plan on more than 1 child close together (2-3 yr gap). we are deciding between the UPPAbaby vista and BJ City Select. I’m leaning toward the CS because of the configurations with more than 1 kid, but Darling Husband just loves the UBV. i’m hesitant because i’ve read mediocre reviews on the rumble seat and i think it’s hard to fold.

I’m not a BTDT mom but I read this post hoping some bees shared their picks.

@Birdofafeather- I plan on having children close together and know that a lot of people sell carriages on craigslist and ebay. So I bought a single stroller and plan to keep it in great condition and then just sell it and use the money for a double stroller in a few years.

@BirdofaFeather:  We’re looking at the uppababy too.  Have you seen it in person?  I’ve heard it’s hard to fold as well, but when we saw it in person, had no trouble at all.  This was NOT with the rumbleseat however.  I can’t speak to that!

My SIL has the Britax car seat and stroller and has complained about how bulky the stroller is.  And I’ve seen her use it 2 times and the baby is almost one!  I looked at the City Mini and liked it.  I ended up with a Peg-Perego because the girl was selling it for cheap cheap and it was hardly used.

I have the britax b-ready AND the city mini stroller. I love them both for different reasons. The britax is awesome for long trips or shopping because of the HUGE basket on the bottom. I love that you can add a second seat, and I love that the car seat snaps in without the regular seat being in the way. It is such a smooth ride and worth every penny. It is a bit bulky, but not horrible IMO. I have no problem getting it in and out of the car by myself, and I am 9 mos pregnant now. I love the citi mini too because it is so light weight and easy to fold. We use it for travel and my husband jogs with it. They are both excellent strollers that serve different purposes for me.

@BirdofaFeather:  I also looked at the city select before i decided to go with britax. I really didn’t like it as much because it is super long and awkward to push with the second seat being in the front instead of the back. Also, it doesn’t fold up as easy as the britax. The second seat on the britax does not cause any problems for me. I have never once accidentally kicked it or felt like it was in the way. I would definitely recommend going to a store and pushing both of these strollers around to see what works best for you.

@snake:  I don’t have babies yet, but like you was considering the Britax with the Free Ride event, and actually bought everything. Then when it came I realized how Bulky everything is, returned my purchase and bought the Bugaboo Cameleon instead with a Maxi Cosi infant car seat. I am happy with my new purchase and can’t wait to use it!

@blondemotives:  as far as i read, the britax doesn’t work well with the maxi cosi which is the car seat we have to use with DH’s mini cooper! i tried my friend’s Britax and it was nice enough that i looked into it, but unfortunately, it looks like a no-go.

@roxy821:  with the expense of the strollers that we like, we want to make sure that it will work for 2 kids instead of having to buy/sell later. i know it works for some people, but for us, it just doesn’t make sense when there are great options out there!

Haven’t BTDT yet (talk to me in 2 months hehe), but we bought the BOB Revolution SE. We test drove it in the store, and I’ve been using it in our basement to get used to it, and it’s amazing. So easy to open and close. It’s a tad heavy, but then again, I am 8 months pregnant. My Darling Husband thinks it’s the lightest thing ever. We’re getting the Chicco car seat adapter for the first few months.
