I’ve been back and forth on favor ideas so many times, it’ starting to make my head spin. Orignally I wanted to do these sugar cookie mini-cakes (http://pinterest.com/pin/540502392748453865/), but when I figured out I was going to have to bake 400 cookies for the 50 guests we’ve invited, I decided that was way too much work to do in the days before the wedding. And I can’t afford to buy them for $10 each, which is what I found them selling for online.  Now I’m considering doing 4 oz jars of home made jam. I’ve never made jam before, but found a recipe and instructions that appear super easy, so I’m going to give it a whirl. Failing the jam experiment, I have NO IDEA what we’ll do. I really want to do something hand made, both for the cost factor (our wedding budget is super low) and because I like that it adds a very personal touch.

@peachbaby4008:  the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory near my house gave me a good price quote for apples so we are doing that

I was going to do decorated sugar cookies but I found the most adorable bride & groom cake pops and Fiance LOVES them. We’re going to the bakery to test them out this weekend.

@peachbaby4008:  Doing edible favors in cute little vintage wraps. My Fiance and I don’t want a crapload of cheap favors on the tables left over after the party is over with. We figure a lot of people will eat things like cookies or take them home with them otherwise. 🙂

go for cake pops.  edible is always best and in my experience, the caramel apples are never a big hit.  It’s the most left behind edible favor I’ve ever seen (and my wedding planner backs me up on that one!)

I’m doing 2 french macarons for each guest from a local patisserie. We are having a romantic, elegent wedding at a french restaurant.

didn’t do favors, ridiculous waste of money.

And no one missed them or thought badly of me.

If I have the time and energy, I plan on doing a huge batch of mexican wedding cookies as favors.
