Like you I haven’t “officially” planned anything, but have loads of ideas and kind of a lot set for what I would like to do.  But I’d like to wait until after I’m engaged.  We will likely have a long engagement (longer than 1yr) and so I have plenty of time.

I’ve “planned” practically the whole thing! (Even though I’m not getting engaged soon.)

I haven’t booked or bought anything. But I’ve chosen my dream venue, thought about what the bridal party will wear, collected inspiration for flowers and decor, and even jotted down some ideas for music. The only thing I really haven’t given much thought to is the food, because I’m sure my guy will want to be part of the decision-making process for that.

That being said, if he has strong ideas about some of the other stuff, I’ll definitely listen, because I want our wedding to reflect both of our tastes. But I’m just not anticipating him having a strong opinion about the flowers or linens.

Oh, and he has no idea that I have an entire folder filled with subfolders of wedding porn on my computer, hahaha. It’s my dirty little secret.

I have a secret folder of inspiration pics. Mainly just dresses for me and my bridesmaids. I’ve looked at venues online just for fun, but there’s not much you can do until you’re ready to call and get prices, etc. So besides clothing I’m waiting for SO. I’d like him to be involved as much as possible. A few ideas have been tossed around before. His mom asks me occasionally what my tastes lean toward.

He’s not an idiot–he knows when I’m up to no good. 😉

@Mollytov: Just my sister, really. And my best friend. But other than that who knows. They may very well likely be all I want or need.

OH–I should clarify that no one has officially been ASKED. My best friend and I have totally looked at bridesmaids dresses and emailed them with stuff like “I look good in this color hint hint.” ha. She’s also kinda waiting, too…

I used to kind of poke around for ideas here and there, but nothing serious (this was the guy I was with a few years before I met my husband).

I think it would be more fun to wait until being officially engaged.

@stateline: Oh you were talking about ACTUALLY planning–like talking to vendors.

Oh–totally wait. I’m weirded out by anyone actually planning before they’re engaged.

We actually booked the venue before getting engaged… FI’s idea!  We had our heart set on a specific date and didn’t want to lose it, so we put down the deposit before I was wearing a ring!

We booked our venue about a month before we were engaged because it was the last time I was going to be in the country until about 3 months before the wedding.

I actually booked my venue before we were officially engaged.  We were waiting for my ring to come in and weren’t planning on a year engagement… people were surpised when they day i got engaged I could already tell them when and where! 🙂

I had the whole damn thing pretty much planned before I got my ring. Not much has changed since then- just a few things that the fiance didn’t like.
