Hi beautiful bees out there,
I’m new to this site, but have just received a diamond I purchased online from James Allen and am so happy I wanted to share and to hear other stories about online diamond purchases from equally lucky bees.
This diamond is for is my 2nd e-ring, my first does not fit anymore (swollen fingers after having my first baby which was 1.5 years ago, but it still doesnt fit!). When I first received the original ring it had to be re-sized by more than 4 sizes and as a result some little diamonds surrounding the centre emerald stone fell out. Now my fingers have gotten a bit larger and the ring needs to be made larger and I’m worried even more stones will fall out if we enlarge it after the original re-sizing.
Asides from the re-sizing issue, I am a bit embarassed to say this, but I have outgrown the emerald centre stone and wished for something more traditional. At the time we got engaged, I was enthralled with the ring and it was exactly what I asked for (this was 7 years ago). I’m 30 now and cant think back to why i wanted an emerald yellow gold ring in the first place…. That said, it is very pretty and I adore my now husband for scouting for it, but I’m ready for the bling!
So I’ve been doing heaps of research for an upgraded ring to go with my wedding band (which luckily i have not outgrown) and stumbled across James Allen. After much tooing and froing, decided on a 0.6ct round brilliant diamond, F colour, VG cut, SI2 for VERY cheap price. Compared to prices in Australian stores (yes, I’m Aussie), I could not believe the price.
So the stone has arrived and though it is an SI2, cannot see any blemishes (though i could see minor marks in the hugely magnified picture on the website) and it is sparkly beyond belief. I am amazed at this purchase, the way my new diamond looks and the overall cost. Before it was delivered, I kept thinking that there was bound to be something hideously wrong with it!
Any other bees out there that cannot believe their luck when it comes to buying a diamond/gemstone/other stone online?
