At least she is being honest right off the hop so these girls know what they are in for and can decline early.

This is why you don’t have 10,000 people in your wedding.  End of story.

oops, sorry.  Aside from that . . . I wouldn’t even consider being in a bridal party after an email like that.  Even if it was my sister or best friend from school.  It is completely outrageous to expect people to travel out of state for this party or that party.  If she would have said, “Bachelorette party in Vegas IF you can come (if not no problem, I know times are tough)” fine.  This girl is a whack job!

I wish she had invested half as much thought on grammar as she did on how many parties everyone must attend.

This would be my reply if I ever received an email from a friend like that

Congrats on your upcoming wedding.  Please feel free to remove me as a bridesmaid and as a guest.  Your letter has inspired me to do some friendship purging in my life.  You should feel special to know you made the purge list!

It was painful reading all the spelling/grammatical errors and had I received this missive, I wouldn’t have been able to decline fast enough!  I wonder if any suckers, er bridesmaids accepted this “honor”….

wow!! I know weddings are “all about me” for the bride…but this one takes it to a very unhealthy extreme….I wonder if she had any bridesmaids left after this message

Wow. One of my BMs was totally flaky, not even at the rehearsal, but I still wanted her by my side at my wedding.

see… I feel the same thing while watching “bridezillas”… are these bridesmaids honestly surprised by this? if you’re a Bishhh as a bride, you’re a bishh in real life as well!?

On a lighter note, I actually did a parody spin on this for my girls when I asked them to be my bridesmaids and included a few personal jokes it was pretty hilarious

…honestly? I’d never be this kind of bride, but there are so many threads on here telling brides to make their expectations known early. I really didn’t find this all that offensive.

At least the BM would know up front that by agreeing to be in this wedding she’s signing up for sorority bullshit all over again.

wow.

well, at least she was up front from the start. but, i think she could have worded it a nicer way.

If I were asked to be a bridesmaid in this wedding, I’d prob reconsider.  Sounds like a lot of work. And, I have my own life outside of her wedding. Not to mention, it sounds expensive.  I wouldn’t mind spending the money if it was for someone who was nice and respected me. But, I don’t get the vibe from this letter

I would Never do this but I dnt find it offensive being its a large party… Hearing all ppls horror stories about their bridal parties this doesn’t bother me in the least. Honest and upfront
