Hey ladies, thus far THANKFULLY I have had a very Great pregnancy! I have not suffered with morning sickness or anything, but last night and today my stomach feels uneasy. I don’t think it has anything to do with the baby— Nevertheless, I am wondering is it okay to take Ginger Ale while pregnant? I am 7 weeks 1 day.

Ginger Ale is totally fine, though I didn’t drink it for nausea really, I just love it. Good way to get a soda fix without the caffeine. Raw ginger is good, also Sea Bands on your wrists. They helped me a lot. People get them for motion sickness but they work with pregnancy too.

Make sure the ginger ale is made with real ginger, not all of them have it.
(never been pregnant, but I love drinking ginger ale when my tummy is upset)

Ginger ale or even coke are great for an upset tummy. I am not a big ginger fan so I normally go for the coke.

I find ginger ale isn’t strong enough for me or FH when we have upset tummies; I make ginger tea by grating fresh ginger & putting it in tea steeper ball (like for looseleaf tea). You can also throw some peppermint or peppermint extract in there — it’s good for calming your stomach too.

Yes!! I have a can every morning. I buy the ginger ale from whole foods, though. It’s made with real ginger and doesn’t have the artificial sweetners in it. It really helps me.
Hope you feel better!

i didn’t have much nausea but i had bought ginger ale as a precaution. i ended up loving it more than the diet pepsi i have been addicted to for years, so i drink it now just for pleasure (i am now 4 months pregnant). Like KatyElle said, it’s a great way to get a soda fix without caffeine.

I used Ginger ale until it started to give me heartburn (around 20 weeks). Since then I stick to lemonade. Newsman’s Own pomegranate lemonade works well!

A lot of gingerale doesnt have real ginger in it…or not a lot.
I love ginger tea for nausea. I just boil some ginger root!

It has to be flat ginger ale in order to help with nausea
