I would never rely on that. Fiance and I are childfree. 96% effective is too dangerous for us, since we wouldn’t want to keep the child, and there is no way I want to go through an abortion in my life. I’m consequent with my choice not to have kids, therefore I will not rely on BC that I can not trust (and I have no control over) until he gets a vasectomy, or I get my tubes tied (or both).

we’ve used the pull out method sucessfully for over a year and a half, but if I get pregnant it wouldn’t be the end of the world. If getting pregnant would be terrible or something I would get  an IUD

Yea, stupidly for 7+ years with my x-bf.  Fortunately, I never got pregnant.

Only time I have was  with a guy who literally could not O inside. He had to pull out. I knew there was 100% chance he was never going to make a mistake.

I think when this doesn’t work for people they forget one key component… You must pull out. All the way. It’s pretty easy to do. 😉

We used pull-out solely for our whole relationship (minus first few months). We would also leave him in there during the week of my period. Because it worked so well I thought it was possible we would have trouble conceiving because maybe it was one of us… Nope! Turns out the POM just worked very well for us!

We do it. I cannot stand the feel of condoms and I dont want BC.

I’m one of those people that wouldnt be upset if I got pregnant though.

I absolutely do not trust the pull out method. It’s great if you can use it and trust it, but I am personally too paranoid.

Fiance and I use the pull-out method exclusively. I was on BCP for years and years until I had adverse effects. Condoms are well…condoms. So, we pull-out.

However, we are not DEAD SET on not getting pregnant; if it happens, it happens.

Darling Husband and I used the POM exclusively for 2 years with no incident, but we were okay at that time if we got pregnant. We never had any issues.

Now, we’re trying to decide if we ever want kids and we’re leaning toward no so I got an IUD inserted. Once I decided I didn’t want to have kids right now (and potentially don’t want kids at all) – I got a more reliable form of BC.

@RedPandas:  Pull out method for 7 years, no problem. Decided we didn’t mind getting pregnant and we ready for a little one, so we had lots of fun…and we got our perfect little baby boy 🙂
