I think you should stay until after your wedding, and then look for a position, if you can afford that. It will look much better on your resume!

@jcaldwell85:  A year isn’t terrible on resumes. I have been at my last 3 jobs (before this one!) for exactly one year. It’s enough time that you gave it a try, but you were ultimately looking for something better. That’s what I’ve been saying! (It’s true by the way for both of us!)

I would look seriously now.  I don’t see a point in wasting a year in a job that isn’t going anywhere for you.

It wouldn’t hurt to look now…you can always decide not to take a job if it is offered to you and just doesn’t feel right.  I tend to stay at jobs too long, much to the detriment of my health and well-being.  I started a new job a few months ago (read: less than 6 months before our wedding!), and although stressful at first to get started, definitely well worth it.  Good luck!

I would start looking. No sense wasting a year at a job you don’t like. The time off you need for your wedding should not be excessive at all.

    Good luck!

The stress of starting the new job is much less than the stress of staying at the old one that I hated…
