Not sure where this goes, but is anybody else a freak like me? haha.
For some reason I have this weird thing about numbers as far as the wedding date is concerned – I don’t like odd numbers and wanted a “pretty” sounding month to get married in. Not so much that I wouldn’t consider every month/date, but I like the idea of having a nice, even, round sounding number – like 2014. I like the actual day to be even too.
Like I said it’s not a huge deal but for some reason these bizarre thoughts occur to me! Anybody else? and just for fun, what’s your date? 🙂 We’re thinking summer 2014.

@HerNameWasLola: If you like 2014, why not Valentine’s Day 2-14- 2014. Cute! And it’s a Friday!
I thought it was cute that my friends got married on 9/10/11. I’m getting married on a not-so-cute date, 8/26/12. Well they’re all even numbers, at least!

My fiance was weary about getting married in 2013 because it didn’t sound good/ the number 13, but that was a fleeting thought.

When we first got engaged, My fiance requested a wedding date “that will be easy to remember” lol. At first I took that as a date that sounded nice like you said. When we looked at different dates on the calendar, the ones we liked landed in the middle of the week or were too soon or too far away. Then I realized that 10/12/2013 fell on our five year anniversary and BAM! we had a date. Its in the fall, which is great because I wanted a fall wedding, its a date that Fiance should be able to remember since we celebrate it as an anniversary anyway, and even though IMO 2013 is just a weird number, October 12, 2013 just sounds nice to say.

I couldn’t marry in 2013, as it felt unlucky. We got married 12.5.12 which I really like! (uk date so may 12th 2012)

we didn’t realize the simplicity of our date at the time (it just was the most convenient for us), but we are getting married 10-10-12

I’m totally the same way and my Fiance thinks I’m totally insane. 🙂
I told him that he had to propose in time to get married in 2012 because I sure the hell wasn’t waiting until 2014 when (at the time) we had been together for 6.5 years, and I did NOT want to get married in 2013. Luckily my Fiance obliged and proposed in exact time to get married Sept. 8 2012 – now, I always write Sept. because I hate the number 9, and 8 is excellent because our dating anniversary is Jan 8, and then I looove 2012. In my mind, we reeaally lucked out with our date! I just have to ignore that Sept. is the 9th month.. ugh. 😉

I hear you on this! I chose June 2, 2012 and think it’s pretty. We had considered the 9th, but I don’t like the number 9!

I totally understand 😉 We chose June 14, 2014 because it sounds pretty to us! Nice and even haha

Hmm we didn’t have too many options for our wedding date but I do like our engagement date, 10/10/10.

i don’t have a thing about numbers, but my date (if our current date is the one we stick with) will be the exact opposite to yours, all odd number 11/07/2015 or 07/11/205 for those of you in the States 🙂

I liked the way my date sounded….November 10, 2012…11-10-12….We met on the 9th of a month, got engaged on 8th of Oct. and Now married on the 10th. So basically the #s 8-12 mean a lot to us!

I’m not crazy about the date itself, since September is a big birthday month in my family. I never thought about how the date itself sounds, but I love the time of year! Hopefully it will lend itself to some good anniversary trips.

ours was 5-12-12….. and I liked it!!

I am the same way! My husband was dumbfounded when I told him we needed to get married this summer (we got married in July) with the sole reason being that I didn’t want to get married in 2013 because it’s an uneven number. I REALLY wanted our wedding date to be June 30 because then they would all be even (6-30-12) but we saved so much money having it on a Sunday so I wound up with 7-1-12. At least the year was even! Win some, lose some LOL
