I’m sorry your work is no fun 🙁 just remember… you have a job.. a lot of people can’t say the same. Smile and just keep trucking and maybe look around for new jobs. And the eating nothing but junk may be affecting how you are feeling. Hope it all gets better!

I am hating my summer job. I know I’d love it if someone had the time to train me or give me something to do. But no, I get to sit here and wait until they have something for me to do. The CEO doesn’t know what I was hired for, the supervisor doesn’t, nor does the 3 emplyees I work with. They just know they really needed me…obviously to sit at my desk and make the office look pretty.

I usually love my job but it’s been CRAZY this past week. I have so much to do and we are down 1 staff member. I work at a college and people think our summers are easy, not in my department, there are always 3 sessions of summer classes! UGH.

More of a “I wish I had a job” moment. I’ve had plenty of “I hate my job” moments though. Retail and horrible management will do that to you.

@MrsTillerResq:  like i said i think the having no energy leading you to eat like crap is probably compounding the issue. on the weekends try to relax and maybe put some exercise into your routine on top of eating better food. That way you get more energized. and don’t get mad at yourself, i’m pretty sure 90% of people working hate their job at one point or another.

Sorry you’re feeling this way. It’s a familiar story and so suckie when it happens. I think perhaps you should try to hold out until you can find a house to buy, sort the mortgage and then start looking for new jobs straight away. When I was absolutely hating my job back in the UK, the thought that I only had to stick it out for another 6 or so months before I emigrated just about got me through because it was like a light at the end of the tunnel.

In the mean time, try to do things that are relaxing and make you happy. Spend more time around friends or with your Fiance. Make sure the time you do have outside of work is spent doing uplifting things.

@ArmyWife8806:  Me too. I got laid off of a job that I hated almost a month ago, and haven’t found anything else. I’ve been applying like crazy, but companies are moving SO slow.

I want to find something else, but Darling Husband and I are attempting to buy a house and I know most lenders require you to be employed with the same company for at least two years.

As far as I’ve heard (we’re also trying to buy a house), it’s just that you’ve been EMPLOYED, not necessarily with the same company. I discussed this with our realtor, since we were going to finally get preapproved for a mortgage when I got hired in (which didn’t happen).

I feel the same way lately. I haven’t decided if I really am once and for all completely over working here ( I go through phases of loving and hating it, as I’m sure most people do), or if I just have wedding/honeymoon short timers. We only have 5 weeks left so I’m sticking it out and then will see how I feel after the wedding. If I still feel hateful I”ll be looking for  a new yob!

Oh, amen.

Our interim boss (just temporary, he won’t even be here forever!) is changing EVERYTHING around. He’s changed everyone’s schedules (or, is trying to) and has made me work crazy hours that I cannot do and go to school. The reason I took the job I took was because of the relaxed schedule. It’s stressful enough to make me want to rip my hair out.
