I honestly would not worry too much. I had a couple, even my mom had them. We laugh about it now.

I have them my worst one is I fell into a lake AND my wedding planner ate the wedding cake before the wedding even started and blamed it on me because no one told her she couldnt eat the wedding cake…. Everything was just a HUGE mess but it helped me figure out what kind of wedding I dont want to have…

I had one where I was the only one dressed for the wedding and my Dad dragged me the OPPOSITE way down the aisle, out the door and took me fishing.

Nightmares, indeed.

They’ll happen – they’re fairly common from what I can tell, so you’ll be fine 🙂

I’ve had a couple which were in retrospect actually just hilarious. Right after we got engaged, I had a dream I went dress shopping (with Fiance apparently) and long story short he chose a dress that was essentially a nightgown and told me I had to wear it. (We still joke about it haha)

Another was that we apparently forgot to invite anyone to our wedding dance. So we showed up and there was just the wedding party and our families. It was in a venue that I’d never ever dream of having a wedding dance at. No one would take any pictures – I kept saying ‘are you sure you don’t want to take a picture of this?’ etc. And lastly, we cut FI’s birthday cake instead of a wedding cake (his birthday is in MARCH for god sakes LOL) and everyone (all of the 12 people there) sang Happy Birthday.

So ridiculous, I’m sure I’ll have more as the day gets closer lol.

I had a dream that we were having our wedding in my parents backyard under a big white tent (NOT HAPPENING) and the caterer never showed up.  My mom and aunts were running around the kitchen frantically cooking as many random dishes as they could come up with to feed the guests at the reception while telling me that no one would know it wasn’t catered food, haha.  There were crockpots of little meatballs and sliders and pies and some potato salad that my aunt bought at the grocery store.  It was a nightmare for sure.

I also had a dream that my aunt decided to have my little cousin (our ringbearer) wear a DRESS for the ceremony and no one could understand why I was upset over them wanting a 7 year old little boy to wear a dress down the aisle and why I was refusing to allow it to happen.

My brain is weird.

I’ve had two!

The most recent one involved my Fiance deciding he was going to go into work between the ceremony and reception instead of taking photos and we got into a huge fight and I questioned why I married him for the rest of the wedding, lol.

The first nightmare I had had to do with EVERYTHING going wrong. From not having my bouquet, the processional music not playing, my dad not being there to walk me down the aisle, not enough food or alcohol, and terrible weather to block out our beautiful view.

I swear I’ve also gotten way more white hairs since I’ve been engaged 🙁

I have been experiencing this lately too; attributing it to stress..ha

The first dream I had EVERYTHING went wrong; fire in the hotel so my girls and I couldnt stay in the suite and all the other hotels were booked so I stayed at home which is an hour from my fiance and my alarm didnt go off ..I was late, nothing was prepped I was running around the church trying to get ready and it was the wrong dress…

My one b/m was dying laughing when I told her..lol As long as everything goes smooth on the day I will be able to laugh about it too

I haven’t had any wedding-specific, but I’ve had two in the last week with Fiance and I fighting (which we don’t do). :

I have wedding nightmares ALL THE TIME- for example I don’t have my dress, it’s the wrong dress, I’m 4 hours late, make-up lady doesn’t show up, it’s raining, etc. So disconcerting. Ugh.

The silliest one is where I arrive at the ceremony and we invited too many people and they’re not organized because I was off somewhere putting the dress and makeup on and I can’t find my Fiance or the officiant through the crowd.

I’ve had the no-bouquet dream that turns into a nightmare: someone goes to a nearby cemetary and steals fake plastic flowers from a gravestone to use as a bouquet.

One where my late mother is there and my father is the one that has passed away.

One where my Fiance is all dressed up in a tux with tails (which he has sworn never to do) and my dress is made of bleached burlap.

One where the cake doesn’t arrive so my oldest sister gets a Carvel ice cream cake that looks like a kids birthday cake, shaped like Yogi bear.

One where every vendor tells me I had to pay them on the wedding day in cash or else.  Vendors I am not hiring, such as a band, a dj, and two church candle ushers are there demanding to be paid. In one variant, I open my wallet to find only Canadian bills in wedding colors. Half the vendors sound like Martin Short ala Father of the Bride.

Pretty much I’ve dreamed about everyone in my family embarassing me and everyone in FI’s family upsetting him, but somehow, never he screwing up.

Not really a nightmare but definitely my first wedding related dream.  I was super excited about our venue and decided to take a peek.

First thing i noticed was the hallway.  It looked different and very shiny then went to ask my mom if she loved our venue choice and she told me it was ok.

Next would be the coctail room. Instead of hte room with the big windows, it was one those broadway theater room with our guests sitting down and the food was laid out in the back. O_O  Even though our cocktail food wasn’t anything fancy but in my dream, it was more then I have expected. lol.

Last would be my dress and Fi.  it look like what i pick out but my veil was super long instead of finger tip lenght and then there’s Fi on the lower level floor. He looked up at me and didn’t say a word.  :/

I dream about my dress falling apart leaving me naked on the aisle, or my teeth falling out on the day-of, almost nightly. I wish there was a way to just have dreamless sleep! 8 more months of this and I am going to look ragged on the bid day.

Any other bees tried anything to get the nightmares to stop? I’ve tried tea, music and reading to no avail.

I had some nightmares before our wedding. Some of them were, getting way too drunk on my wedding. Not having the dress, The venue having to cancel on us for some reason, fighting with my family so they didnt show up, late for my wedding, not having makeupor hair done untill time to leave for church arrived…

One I remember very clearly was not having hired what we in my country (we got married in Peru) call “the crazy hour” which is a whole hour where they play upbeat party songs and characters like mimes and stilt walkers come dressed up and they give you hats, necklaces, ballons, maracas, whistels, etc. Its pretty cool. On our wedding day, my fiancee forgot to give the “crazy hour” team some of the stuff for the guests (hats, maracas, whistles, etc) that are supposed to be given at the “crazy hour” time and it soooo reminded me of my nightmare, only it wasn’t anywhere near that bad.

I also want to add, it is very disconcerting but maybe as it did in mine, it means everything in your wedding will go perfect!!!!!
