I think both cuts are classic. The marquise has been around forever and is making a popular comeback. If I had to pick, I would go with the oval. I really like the NEO ones that I have seen online. The F1 ovals are SUPER rainbowy in videos.

Hi! We talked about Etsy on your other post about trying to find the right moissy. 🙂 Personally, I absoutely love the way ovals look. If I didn’t get a round, I’d go for a oval. Halo’s also are always a plus in my book, love my halo!

Have you tried a marquise and/or oval cut to see how they look on your finger/hand? That might help you decide which one to get. I thought I wanted a marquise for the longest time based on pictures online but ended up liking how a pear looks on my hand.

I find the f1’s chalk white, and dislike them without the color.  Oval or Marquise you can’t go wrong.  I suggest you go to berricle and order a few samples to see what you love best.

I think you should sleep on it a few more days.  There have been a few times I have changed my mind and gone with something on a whim and then I have regretted it and wished I had picked my first choice to start with.  Can you order both stones loose, and view them in person, make sure there is no bow tie tec?

Have you seen rings in person so you can see if you love that stone shape on your finger? I was CONVINCED that I would get a cushion or an oval, but I did not like the way either cut looked on my finger. I still love those stone shapes though! I ended up getting an emerald cut stone in the end, but I definitely recommend seeing them in person/trying on rings with that stone shape because it definitely made a huge impact on me personally.

You should get the shape you want. I originally wanted a pear and settled for round because I wanted a pink stimulant and couldn’t find any pink pear. 5 years later I got my pear diamond. If you want marquise you should get that. But the marquise cut in forever brilliant is not that great. What about a under 1ct marquise diamond? Marquise are an elongated shape so .70 would look huge on you with a halo.
