@GretaB yeah I think maybe it’s the frou-frou’ness that has me thrown a bit….I mean I’m a girly girl I guess but…I see these sleek sophisticated gowns and I keep oo’ing and ahhh’ing…although with only 2 months left to go I’m not sure I have much of an option anymore lol
Haha..ok…I am 5’1" (claim to be 5’2") with a C-cup! But at least we can hold a strapless dress well!
I think it’s looks very good on you! We are about the same built and I was totally going to try on that dress from david’s bridal. It’s on my list and seeing you wear it makes me consider it more… though as one of the people above the skirt part might be the only reason for me not personally picking it. ^_^
I actually really like it! Which is rather surprising to me because it’s not my "type." I vote definitely keep it. I think it looks fantastic on you! Oh, and especially if your theme is modern vintage! That dress manages to incorporate both which I think is rather tricky. It’s totally normal to have dress doubts, just don’t act hastily on them.
I think its gorgeous and very flattering on you!!! In the picture (you say was 5 months ago and u have lost some weight now) it looks like a perfect fit for you! It give you a nice hour glass figure look, your waist looks tiny and I bet it looks even better now! (you have nothing that even resembles a pooch by the way!!!!)
I think the ruffles and lace detailing make it very feminine and sweet and definitely has that vintage look!!!
If it were me I would stick with this dress for sure!
Thanks ladies! I think I’ll give it a week and see how I feel…hopefully this is just nervousness from the wedding being only 2months away lol
honestly I really love it. I think you look gorgeous! stunning.
I really like your original dress. It’s kind of modern with the pickups and yet the bottom is kind of vintage. You look great in it!
I think it looks beautiful on you! It’s not my style, but even before I clicked on the link to see the other dress, my vote was to keep it. I don’t know that the second dress is different enough to worry. And I think your face looks beautiful in the first picture–you’re smiling and you seem pretty sure about this dress. Go for it!
iTS A BEAUTIFUL DRESS! And your a beautiful woman in it! I like the one on you a lot better than the DB dress….i love the detail and the lace of yours. Good luck…your beautiful!
I think you look beautiful in your dress. The DB dress is a bit more simple, without the detail at the bottom. But I think your dress goes more with your modern vintage theme.
It all comes down to what you feel best in, try on the DB dress, see how you feel in it. If it is "the One". you’ll know, but you may try it on and love the dress you have more. 🙂
I love it, I really, really do love it. It’s so sweet and the ruffles are FANTASTIC. There is one, teeny, tiny change I would recommend… have you thought of having the neckline changed to a slight sweetheart? Not even a real sweetheart, more of a "kiss" (like 1/4-1/2") neckline, where it dips down, ever so slightly in the center? My seamstress recommended this to me, and really, once I saw how it changed the entire look of the dress, I was so much happier with my selection. I only mention this because I think it would look fantastic with the lace detail at the bottom of your dress.
Let us know what you decide!
@carrieitly – I had actually thought of that as well, b/c I love the sweetheart necklines…but I thought maybe it would look odd since there’s that assymetrical fabric there across the boob area? What do you think?
