If that’s you, I think it looks fine. It’s hard to tell with you sitting down, but it’s certainly nothing I’d look at and think “OMG, that’s horrendous!” in any event. Are you normally not the sort of girl who would go for a big puffy ballgown? If not, maybe they were just surprised.

I think you just pointed out your own solution, though, right? The dress has a very different silhouette when you’re standing up from when you’re sitting with it billowing all around you – so don’t worry about it, you’ll be standing, walking, dancing, etc., for most of the wedding anyway, and when you are sitting, it won’t be all billowed out around you like it was in the portrait. Just make sure that you get lots of standing pictures, and don’t worry if people are imagining the wrong shape of skirt based on one shot. Or, if it bothers you, change the pose on the bridal pics – much easier to do than changing the dress at this point! But be happy with your lovely gown.

@VegasTina:  That’s actually really pretty. There’s nothing wrong with that dress whatsoever. Don’t listen to the haters.

Your dress is beautiful and fits you perfectly…don’t pay them any mind, they are just being rude!

It’s a lovely dress and you look lovely in it!  I know it’s SO easy to second guess yourself (I just bought mine this weekend and I’m already second-guessing it!) but I think it’s normal and you clearly picked it for a reason so don’t let other people’s opinions shake you!

You will look beautiful on your big day and everyone else will just be in awe of your beauty and happiness!

I have the same dress too and have been fighting a battle because I am not sold on the flower. I also removed the shoulder strap, but also removed the flower on the chest too. I really do love this dress, and love seeing it on a real bride rather than the stock photos. You look great and I love this dress even more now that I have seen it on someone else!!

I showed it to a couple of people that aren’t coming to the wedding and their reaction was “oh…..thats nice”….”jeez thats a poofy dress”.

Maybe they’re upset that they weren’t invited and didn’t have anything nice to say? For what it’s worth, I think it looks great on you. I also think it’s hard to judge what the dress looks like when you’re sitting down.

anyone that thinks that dress is anything other than amazing needs their head examined! The tulle ruffles in the skirt and the flower are gorgeous. The flower is particularly in for the coming season too! Ive found its much easier to critique other peoples dresses than your own as I am currently undergoing the exact same regret with my dress – so i can fully appreciate your situation!  if anything those people are probably haters because theyre not invited lol be fabulous be amazing you will feel a million bucks and enjoy your day!
